If you’re planning a city break to London this year you’ll find you have so much to do, in so little time. But, if there’s one thing you must cram in, it’s a visit to some of the top foodie favorites the city has to offer. As London is exceptionally busy, it can sometimes be difficult to get a table as the best restaurants are booked up way in advance. However, if you find yourself heading to London for a romantic evening with no luck on the reservation front, then consider making your own candle lit dinner in your hotel room from one of the many, great London delivery restaurants. Stay comfy and warm and get your favorite food delivered right to your door – nothing says romance like that. To take a look at your closest takeaways click here.
Sosharu – Islington South
This ultra-modern Japanese restaurant is well known for its interesting menu and alternative dining experience. People often describe it as a restaurant within a restaurant as it has a main dining area which takes bookings, and also a 10-seat counter which accepts walk-ins and has separate menu. On the main menu here you’ll find lime and orange cured salmon, squid tempura with papaya and even stuffed chicken wings. Below, in the basement, you’ll find 7 Tales, a cocktail bar with an atmosphere intended to reflect Tokyo nightlife, with a list of cocktails inspired by aspects of Japanese culture. The neon lights, hip-hop music and cocktails made by specialist Geoff Robinson, make for a great end to your meal.
Paradise Garage – Bethnal Green
Located in a railway arch not only will you experience the best of British, but also the best of British cuisine. On the authentic menu at Paradise Garage you’ll be able to choose from a range of delicious dishes including Portobello mushrooms with raw turnip and rye, sea bass with cauliflower and trumpets and caramelized banana sorbet for desert. Also try the tasting menu, which has been referred to as the best value tasting menu in London.
