Can you tell us a little about you?
Christine Solomon used to be a little girl with a dream and is now transformed into a young woman living her dream. I am someone who makes a tremendous effort to become more self-aware. I am constantly searching, exploring, introspecting, and discovering my role in the world. I dedicate a considerable amount of effort and time to developing my strengths and positive qualities. Every challenge I face teaches me something new.
What’s your background?
My background is very diverse; grew up in Canada to Egyptian, Syrian, Lebanese parents….I’m what you would call a true melting pot.
Can you describe a typical day in your life?
My day starts off early with a healthy workout, then if I’m not auditioning or filming, I’m working on my brand and honing my skills. Also, what’s life without a bit of fun! I undeniably try to leave some time for fun as I find it to be quite energizing. I try to go out with friends at least once a month, whether it is trying out a restaurant or even going dancing with the girls! It is crucial to enjoy life and not to always take it so seriously.

Any loves other than acting?
As far as the creative aspect, I love to write and love everything fashion- but I also have a strong passion towards the study of ancient history and astronomy.
What do you think of the Social Media for your career?
I think in today’s modern world it’s important and vital to reach out to your fans and let them know what you’re up to, they’re interested. Back in the day, there was no way to prove if a story would actually be factual, but now you can go straight to the source. It’s an amazing time we live in.
Any other actors in your family?
Trust me, they’re all a bunch of characters but none are pursuing it.
When did you first know you wanted to become an actress?
I started performing at a very young age but wasn’t sure about perusing it professionally since at that age I didn’t know that this profession existed. To me this was just play time and pretend; it was fun for me. When I was in elementary school, my teacher asked me what I wanted to be. There was so many professions I wanted to pursue so I decided to be all of them by venturing into acting.
Any future news you want to share with us?
Definitely! Just finished two comedies; ‘The Martini Shot’ directed by Demetrius Navarro and ‘What Now’, directed by Ash Avildsen- and currently shooting a new television pilot entitled, ‘The Art of Forgetting’ directed by Val Rassi. And I will be joining director Demetrius Navarro once again on his next film ‘A Sixth Dimension, playing the leading role Dr. Alter. It’s very exciting for me as I have never been in a Sci Fi film before. I’m also attached to co-star in an upcoming Roland Joffe (2 Oscar Noms and Golden Palm winner) romantic comedy called, ‘Gabriel’s Gift’. A director I have always admired, the chance to work with him would be surreal.
What was the first role you ever did?
It was in a musical, I don’t remember much…..I was 5.
What has been your favorite role so far?
I enjoyed all of them, but I had a strong connection with a character called Mrs. Pinchwife in William Wycherleys’ ‘The Country Wife’. She’s naive and quirky on the exterior but deep down, past the layers of silly antics, she’s as clever as they come. I understood her and it came to me naturally, every line and intention was as though she was written for me.
Is there a particular role that got away?
A role you really wanted, but wasn’t cast in? It’s going to sound cliché, but I feel if I wasn’t cast in a particular role, then it wasn’t meant for me. I don’t like to dwell on the past….just continue to work hard, moving forward, and focusing on the now. At the same time, there are roles that I would love to play….for instance, I’d love to play a Superhero rather then the damsel in distress or my personal favorite, Lydia Deetz in Beetlejuice. She’s dark, she’s mysterious, she’s misunderstood….she’s everything that isn’t me and I love the thought of delving into that sort of character.
What’s the best part of being an actress?
The best part of being an actor is getting to live so many different lives without having to face the dire consequences. Acting is a constant learning process; it gives me the chance to discover new facets of language, culture, history, psychology, etc. As an actor, I learn so much about the world and about myself, constantly expanding my knowledge base. In addition, acting provides me with the opportunity to gain different perspectives on life by playing diverse characters, and this to me is very exciting. One day, I can find myself playing a loving mother and the next day a serial killer or some days, even both- but at the end of the day, they’re just characters that I can turn off and be Christine again.
Something people don’t know about you?
I have a weird pet peeve… I don’t like it when someone leaves “crumb-residue” (is that a thing?) on the butter after he/she finishes spreading it on their toast- WIPE IT OFF lol- I’m an extremely passionate person- I’m crazy about my dog Gucci back home in Montreal, I cherish the close relationship with my parents, AND I still watch “Sex and the City” religiously.

Travel destination: The Mauritius Island off the southeast coast of Africa. Since my native language is French, I figured it would be great to explore with the locals, get to know the culture, and why not get a great tan in the process.
