Hi Major, Tell us a little about yourself?
Hi! I am from Dallas originally, though my family and I now live in Houston. I am twelve-years old but am told I act like I am forty Hahah! I have quite a strange array of hobbies, but they aren’t strange to me. I like to collect vintage cameras, video games, video game consoles, and Rubik’s Cubes. I also LOVE to draw!
Why and how did you get started in acting?
A long time ago, when I was about 6, I saw the Disney animated movie ‘Bolt’, and I watched parts where the main characters were filming a movie in a studio. I asked my mom constantly, and after about a month, she finally said yes. I started out in a play as Tiny Tim in ‘A Christmas Carol’. Mom ended up submitting me to a Talent agencies in Dallas and I started booking commercials, TV and film roles. I was then given the chance to play Sam on ‘The Walking Dead’!!
Do you have or had acting classes?
I have had acting classes, audition technique classes and improv training in the past. I haven’t had a lot of time lately to get into classes but it is something every actor should keep doing!
How do you think your parents help you as an actor?
My parents help me by just being a huge support. They help me travel, my audition tapes are done by my mom, and they’ve helped in every way, to help support my amazing life.
Are you going to school or you are full time in this business?
I homeschool, because we have to travel a lot, but not only that, it’s easier. Also, I get to take breaks during the day!
What roles do you like to play? And why?
Drama and suspense has always been my thing. Though I’d love to do a fun comedy or maybe a Dramedy!
What’s the feeling to be part of Tv Hit series The Walking Dead?
One word: AMAZING! It’s a role I NEVER thought I’d get, and when I did, I was ecstatic. It’s amazing to work on the show, because of the people. We are ‘The Walking Dead’ family for sure! I also really love the fans! I just got back from spending the weekend at my first Walker Stalker Con and it was fantastic! Everyone I met was so nice and it was such a privilege to talk to the fans and get the chance to hear how much the show means to them!
What character do you play?
I play Sam Anderson, who’s been living inside the walls for a very long time, but when Rick’s group enters his home, Alexandria, everything hits the fan.
And now tell us about your character Corey Bachman in American Horror Story?
Corey Bachman is a little boy who’s parents are killed and then he gets kidnapped by Twisty the Clown, who’s deranged after nobody likes him. Corey and a teenage girl Bonnie are kept in the back of a bus in cages by Twisty and while he thinks he is trying to “entertain” them with his clown tricks he is actually, starving the kids and scaring them.
Who is your favorite actor/actress?
My favorite actor has to be Tom Hanks. He is amazing! WILSON!!!!
Best advice ever given?
Don’t act. Become the Character.
What are the five things you can’t live without?
Food, water, family, entertainment, acting, and I could go on!
What are the most useful tips you could give to someone who’s just starting in the acting world?
Stay with this interesting life you have entered. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and you must stick with it.
What’s one of the funniest things that have happened to you on set?
It was raining once on the way to set, and I was basically telling everybody to get to the Sprinter, by saying, GET TO DA BUS! WE DA BUS! Just kidding. One of the funniest things that ever happened to me on set was when I found a rubber rifle, and I chased everybody with it, waving it around so it would flop everywhere!
What’s your favorite show on T.V. right now?
‘The Walking Dead’, but my 2nd favorite has to be ‘Top Gear’ (BBC), of which I’m waiting for new episodes.
What do you do when you have some time off?
I like to show everybody my cameras and mostly just play video games, build Legos, draw, and prank my little brother… just occasionally!
Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
Gosh, I don’t know! I’ll be 17. Hopefully driving, acting still and getting ready for college.
How important is Social Media for you?
It’s VERY important. It’s how I keep caught up with current times, how I can interact with my fans, and it’s usually very fun!
