Hello! Well, I have blonde hair, blue eyes and I’m about 5’6″, but I love a good four inch high heel. I’m not the biggest fan of long walks on the beach but I do love being on a boat, that fulfills the scenic water element right? In all seriousness, I’ve been acting since I was seven years old and I love it. I’ve been blessed to work with amazing people on wonderful projects and made great friends along the way. Besides acting, I love laughing, eating, being adventurous and I’m simply excited about what the future may hold.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Energetic, fierce and witty
How did you get started acting?
At seven years old I signed a two year deal with Mattel to be on every toy box and commercial. I fell in love with emoting in front of the camera and the rest is history.
Did you go to acting school?
Starting so young I was giving the opportunity to learn and grow as an actor while I was filming. So I was a part of the hands on school of acting.
What’s the best part of being an actress? And worst?
The best part is I am getting to do what I love, telling stories that hopefully speak to audiences. There isn’t a worst!
Any other family member is in the business?
No, I come from athletes and academics.
What inspired you to become an actress?
Being glued to the TV as a child. Literally, I have horrible sight because of it. I was completely obsessed with Indiana Jones and James Bond films.
What has it been like to be part of Tyler Perry’s “Too Close to Home” cast?
An absolute blessing and such a growing experience. I feel as if I was adopted into this beautiful group of individuals.
And about your role as Anna?
A beautiful challenge. It’s a gift to play a person that is constantly unveiling multiple layers of herself as the story unfolds and carries so many dark secrets.
Why do you think the series is successful?
It’s a success because it’s fun and of course the very good looking men don’t hurt. Besides that, there are many characters to relate to and twists and turns around every corner that keep viewers invested.
Are you friends with the cast outside the cameras?
Absolutely. We do lunches and dinners constantly and are on a continual group chat that provides a ton of humor. We also get together every episode to live tweet, drink too much and laugh.
What has been your most memorable experience from the set?
My first day! It was a whirlwind being in every scene and shooting 60 pages that day, but Tyler Perry conducted it brilliantly. I felt I could accomplish anything after that day.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_column_text]Photo Credit: Aaron Smith[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
