Hi guys, please tell us a little about you?
We’re HIIO – Ortzy and Nico Hamuy, from Buenos Aires, Argentina!
We’ve been a duo since about 2011, and a lot has happened in the last 5 years!
How did you guys meet?
We actually met through a mutual friend over in Cali, Colombia. We both had our own careers at the time, but decided to collaborate on a track together called “Something About You” with Terri B!.
When and how did you get started?
After we did the collaboration, we really liked how well we worked together, and decided to form our duo – HIIO. Ortzy moved to Buenos Aires from Colombia, so we could work easier in the studio together. We’ve been here ever since!
Who has been the biggest inspiration in your life? Why?
Swedish House Mafia!

Big Room. Drums. Latin Influence

Why the name HIIO?
The “H” is for Nico’s last name Hamuy, the roman numerals “II” represents us as a duo, and the “O” represents Ortzy – HIIO!

The time is always now.
Funniest thing that ever happened at an event?
Crowd surfing with Chuckie at PACHA Buenos Aires haha
What are your plans for 2016?
We hope to travel through Europe and have more releases on the way!
How do you spend your spare time?
Spending time with family and friends having dinner and drinks, going to soccer games, and enjoying down time.
What kind of music do you listen to today?
Today we went through some demos which were sent to us, so some big room tracks, electro, progressive house. We do enjoy listening to Michael Jackson, Cold Play… stuff like that 🙂
Any loves, other then music?
Soccer!

It’s something we have to roll with! We live in a digital society now!
