Hi Jenae please tell us about you?
I am a Actress/Producer in the entertainment industry living in the Hollywood Hills. Im super excited about all the new projects I have launching this year.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Loyal, determined, and a fighter.
We’re sure you have been asked this million times but how did you get in the industry?
Adam Sandler gave me my first speaking role in the movie The Longest Yard. Adam played a huge part in launching my career and gave me the courage and strength to go on an do my own projects.
Did you go to acting school?
Yes, Brian Reese, UCB, and Io West.
What is the best part of acting?
Being able to become a character that somebody else imagined in their head.
How was working with Adam Sandler and Ashton Kutcher?
Working with Adam… he always keeps you on your toes and is a very generous actor. Working with Ashton was fun, he was extremely professional.
Who is your favorite actress?
Angelina Jolie… duh!
What has been your favorite role so far?
The arch nemisis in the Ladies Room.
Name one your strengths?
Producing, problem solving, originality.
Who has made the biggest impact on your life so far, and why?
My Self. I never take no as an answer… No means Next Opportunity. So I created my own projects and have been very successful at it.
And now as a producer, tell us about your recent project “The Ladies Room”?
The Ladies Room is very close to my heart. I believe that there should be stronger women in film and my film touches on areas that we haven’t been able to explore in the past. Women are strong, and our voices should be heard.
We know it was nominated for Burbank International Film Festival, what was the feeling?
Its a feeling that all of us as actors really strive for. When you are sitting there and they are saying ‘the nominees are..” its a moment in your life where everything you’ve worked for comes to fruition.
What was the biggest challenge when you move from Actress to Producer?
Not trying to play both roles. Really knowing how to compartmentalize the task at hand.
Is there something you regret as an Actress or Producer?
I wish I would have been more selective of the roles I chose early on in my career as an actress. But every role is a learning curve and has gotten me to where I am today.
Any future projects you are working on and want to share with us?
The Ladies Room is now in Pre-production for a feature film called Hit Like a Girl and I also have two tv shows in the works.
Where do you see yourself in a few years?
I see Alt Prodcutions being one of the Powerhouses in the industry, producing TV and Film. I always move onward and upward. I also see myself on a tv series… hopefully one that I produce. I love creating content.
What do you think of Social Media in the Entertainment business?
I must say, I am old fashioned. But I do see it as a big part of branding, marketing and getting the word out about your projects, so I am slowly catching on.
Any loves other than acting?
My son. There is no better feeling in the world than knowing you are raising someone to become an amazing man and that you are doing good job at it.
