If anyone carries a musical revolution within, it’s Spanish producer and Abel Ramos. In a world awash with one hit wonders and copycats, his legacy continues to stand strong, withstanding the test of time. Stretching the curve of his success, the groove of Ramos making ever shakes the crowds, unrestricted and free of expectations. Continuously honing his craft for the love of music, Abel Ramos is a name linked to a unique sound. No matter which style he highlights, Abel Ramos plays the game of electronic dance music at no less than high score.
The capital of Spain has proven to be a great playground and starting point to Abel’s plans of discovering the world’s most exciting dance floors. Kicking off his career in the vibrant city of Madrid made him one of the country’s most successful DJ’s, spinning everywhere from Sensation and Rock in Rio. But the world couldn’t wait to witness this man’s trickery with the decks, and enjoy his ways with big bass and bulky beats. And so, his sound has taken over main stages at some of the globe’s biggest festivals and clubs, along with a residency in one of Barcelona’s hottest clubs, Opium. In the past few years, Abel Ramos fans have followed him from London’s Ministry of Sound to Space Miami, Stereo Montreal, Glow Washington and Privilege in Buenos Aires. No matter where he lands his sounds, Ramos feels right at home in both an intimate club setting, as well as on the massive festival grounds with ten-thousands of music fanatics in front of him.
With big room as the main ingredient to his eclectic mix of groovy house, dirty electro and techno elements, it’s the deep bass and playful touch that makes each Ramos original a rare find. ‘Rotterdam City of Love’, signed to Axwell’s Axtone Records in 2008, marked a new era for the Spanish producer. Next to creating official remixes for David Guetta, Fatboy Slim, Mariah Carey and Rihanna, Abel’s originals are in hot demand on labels like Spinnin’ Records, Toolroom, CR2, F*** Me I’m Famous, Size Records and Defected. Collaborations with Eddie Thoneik, Felix Leiter, David Tort and HIIO have sky-rocketed to Beatport’s Prog and Electro House Top 5 positions in no time, securing the new signings to Doorn and other big labels for 2015.
Music has taken Abel Ramos on the ride of a lifetime. A wild ride, that continues to cross borders and take him far beyond anywhere he’s ever dreamed to be. Driven by relentless energy and determined to educate the crowds, time is now for Abel Ramos.
