Hi Daz please tell us about you?
I was born in Liverpool England. With no parents to speak of, I was brought up by some relatives and friends, living in different homes till I was 16 then joining the Royal Air Force. Whilst in the RAF, I started Boxing for the Air force and eventually for my country reaching Olympic standard. I also played national basketball 1st division in the UK and studied martial arts (Kung-Fu) so as you can see I was and still am a very active guy. I’m a bit of joker and have the typical British dry sense of humor. I really enjoy travelling the world and have experienced many countries and cultures. Meeting people from other countries and hearing their stories fascinates me. I am very inquisitive and ask a lot of questions.
So how did it all begin?
Ha, in a land far, far away. If you are referring to acting, that stemmed from modeling first. I was asked to do some work as an extra, but didn’t like that. Whilst I was on set, I kept an eagle eye on what the actors were doing and thought I would try that. I enrolled in drama schools in Norwich (UK) London and Los Angeles. I had found something that I was extremely interested in and decided to pursue it as a career.

What was your first acting role?
My first acting role was a commercial for Faberge.
If you could act with anyone as your co-star, who would it be and why?
Nina Dobrev. I like her acting, bonus that she’s cute.
Who is your favorite Actor/Actress? And why?
Jack Nicolson. I like to watch the choices he makes from the projects he has worked on. I have learned a lot from him even though I have never met him. He is a brilliant actor.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Passionate, logical, intuitive.
Tell us about your character Kebo in “Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.”?
Oooh, Kebo only came in the show on the last episode of the second season. I think the viewers would of picked up my job and a small piece of the relationship between him and Ward (Brett Dalton), you will have to decide for yourselves where that could go.
What do you think is the success about this series?
So many dynamics make this to be a brilliant show. My thoughts on the success of the show, besides the brilliant writers involved, which I think are truly excellent along with great actors, having the Marvel name behind it which automatically bring in a huge amount of fans, it couldn’t really go wrong.
How did you get selected for the role?
My agent contacted me to set up an audition.
How was the casting?
Casting was like many others except the script was only given to me 15 minutes before the audition, so not a lot of time to work on it.
What we can expect for the highly-anticipated third season?
As previously mentioned the writers have been working very hard. Bringing some much unexpected twists and turns so you will have to watch out. I’m sure all the fans will love it.
Ok so now tell us about the experience of being a part of a Vampire group in Blade II?
Working on Blade II was one of my best and memorable experiences. Filming in the beautiful city of Prague for 3 months was a real experience. On set working with Guillermo Del Toro, Kris Kristofferson, Ron Perlman, Wesley Snipes, just to name a few was a dream come true. Playing the character of Lighthammer was an exciting experience. It was great to be a part of that project. If I had the opportunity, I would do it again all over.
What do you like to do when have some free time?
I’m quite an active, outdoorsy type of guy. So free time can be used in so many ways, I don’t call it ‘free time’ I call it ‘earned time’. A vacation is always good, looking for an exotic place to visit is definitely on my list very soon. I also like to go back to the UK to see friends.
How’s a normal day in your life?
It’s different every day unless I am actually working on a project. Reading or working out, visiting friends, snowboarding, volleyball or riding my motorcycle. I’m also a bit of a ‘tinkerer’, I like to ‘fix things’. There’s always something to do or going on in Los Angeles.
Do you practice any sport?
Or how do you stay fit? Run, cycle, swim, weights, boxing, Kung-Fu, aerobics, beach volleyball, snowboard. I do it all.
Who is your biggest supporter?
No clue, but I do wonder……..
Any other future plans?
I’m not a ‘planner’ I’m a ‘do-er’. I don’t talk about it, I don’t think about it, I just quite simply go on with it, whatever the case maybe. I like to keep it simple; someone recently asked me where I see myself in 5 years. As long as I am happy, healthy and ‘doing’ what I love I don’t need to be anywhere.
Best advice ever given?
Invest in bricks and mortar (property)
What music do you have in your iPod?
I have been collecting music since I was a child I have so much, all sorts, soul, soft rock, pop, R&B, alternative, house, speed garage, reggae, I really love it all! My MP3 player currently has Queen, Flume, Cold Play, Mikky Ekko, OMI, Al Jareau, Bob Marley, Akon, Amy Winehouse, Corrine Bailey Rae, Bruno Mars, David Bowie, Finley Quaye, Dido, Nicki Minaj, Simply Red, The Cardigans, The Doors, Gladys Night, Touch and Go, and so much more.
How important is Social Media for you?
Of course the delivery of news and social aspects has changed so much. Information is much more easily and readily available at a much quicker pace. People want to know ‘now’ about what’s going on. If people want to know what I am up to, it is extremely easy for them to find out, I don’t mind that they can search the net, of course much of that’s out there has to be taken with a pinch of salt, as some information is sometimes fabricated or written out of context.
