Chart-topping dance-pop artist JESSICA SUTTA is putting the finishing touches on her new album FELINE RESURRECTION, an alluring blend of irresistible hooks, addictive melodies, heartfelt lyrics, edgy production and of course her enchanting, silky and seductive vocals. The ex-Pussycat Doll is recording the disc in Los Angeles with Rico Love (Beyonce, Usher, David Guetta), Benny Cassette (Kanye West, Nelly), Mams Taylor (Snoop, T-Pain, Robbie Williams) and up and coming super producer S-X (Lil Wayne, Childish Gambino) and is looking at a Fall 2015 release.
“I can’t wait for people to hear this record,” says Sutta. “Fans have been asking when we’ll be finished, but we’re having so much fun in the studio that we don’t want to leave. But I promise it’ll be worth the wait.”
FELINE RESURRECTION follows 2015’s hit single by Dave Aude’ “Gonna Get U” featuring Jessica Sutta. The song shot to No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance chart in early March making it Jessica’s third number 1. 2011 ‘s “Show Me,” which also rocketed to No. 1 on the chart, made Sutta the first Pussycat Doll to hit No. 1 as a solo artist.
Sutta’s introduction to the global pop scene was made as a member of The Pussycat Dolls, a worldwide phenomenon and one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. During her time with the Dolls, Sutta garnered a Grammy nomination, won two Billboard Music Awards, two MTV Video Music Awards and played to sold-out audiences around the planet, including stadium shows with artists such as Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and The Black Eyed Peas.
A Miami, Florida native, Sutta fell in love with music and dance at an early age, studying ballet and became a cheerleader for the Miami Heat before graduating high school (and later became captain of the squad). She joined the Dolls in 2003.

Hi Jessica, please tell us a little about you?
I’m a singer, dancer, animal lover and all around Gangsta Fairy.
How did you get started?
I started out acting in a soap shot in Miami. I saved up enough money to move to LA and my first audition was for The PussyCat Dolls. I got the job and the rest is history.
Do you have any music influence?
I guess you could say I was really inspired early on by a variety of artists who sang and danced such as Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, Paula Abdul, Madonna, Britney Spears, Fergie, Kylie Minogue and J-Lo. In my music today I’m sure there are a ton of subconscious influences but it’s really about expressing what I feel in the moment…be it an experience I went through or feelings I have felt that I can put into my art. It’s a really cathartic experience!
Explain your sound in 3 words?
Edgy, Truthful and me.
Tell us about your new hit song “Let it be Love”?
“Let It Be Love” is about having faith in love no matter what. On the surface, it is about waiting for the love you have been yearning for to finally arrive. That desperate lonely feeling which can seemingly only be cured by a love that can make you feel whole. Beyond that though, it is more about loving yourself so you can love others. Emitting love to the world no matter the circumstances the world puts you in. I really wanted to emphasize that message in the visuals and I think the video reflected that perfectly.
Tell us about the experience of “Pussycat Dolls”?
It was an incredible experience that taught me so much about the world of music and more importantly so much about myself. There were some extremely challenging times and some really fun times too! Ultimately, I will always be grateful that I got to be in one of the biggest girl groups in history and got to travel the world and perform for amazing fans. No regrets, just lots of lessons learned, through the good and bad.
Are you still in contact with the girls of “Pussycat Dolls”?
Most of them, yes. Spending all of that time together on the road, we really got to watch one another grow. We bonded like sisters and I think part of that bond will last forever no matter how much or how little we are able to keep in touch.
If you could work with any artist on tour right now who would it be?
Rihanna.
3 things you can’t live without?
Oxygen, food and Family Guy!
What’s your motto or the advice you live by?
Love yourself, spread love to others, be kind, be sweet, fulfill your potential, be of service and don’t take any sh*t from anyone!
What is you favorite song to belt out in the car/for karaoke?
I’m sure i’m not alone in this….”Since You Been Gone”-Kelly Clarkson! You can’t hear that song in the car without blasting the volume and singing along with it as loudly as you can! Can you??
Do you ever get nervous?
Yes! I get nervous for a few minutes before every show. I get nervous when I go on a date. I get especially nervous when I watch Game Of Thrones! You know someone you love is about to get their eyes squeezed into their skull at any given moment!
Funniest thing that ever happened at a concert or event?
When I was in PCD we were invited to perform for a wealthy corrupt leader of a country in the middle east. (I didn’t know geography or politics very well back then and for all I knew he was the mayor of Arkansas). Anyway, while we were performing on stage a dancer who was wearing nipple tassels had a huge cockroach land on her boob and the girls and I saw it and all started to scream mid performance. Luckily non of us were allowed to sing or it would have disturbed the performance!
Any loves, other then music?
Animals! I love my doggies and help relocate rescues as often as possible. I love driving out to the desert and spending time on my own every now and then, just to clear my mind and get away from everything that distracts me from me.
What do you do in your spare time?
Yoga, hiking, reading, meditating, spending time with people and animals that I love and of course watching Family Guy and American Dad and Game of Thrones!
Best advice ever given?
“You can not sing. You won’t ever make it as a singer. Just give up.” This was the best advice anyone could have ever given me because it lit a fire in my eyes and inspired me to overcome any and every obstacle. It made me more determined to work my butt off and do everything I could to develop my singing voice and to never ever give up no matter what!
What beauty tips do you swear by?
Meditation brings real peace. If you are in peace and are able to be still in your mind you don’t get caught up in the ideas that cause stress. I believe stress is the one thing that ages you prematurely and effects your health negatively above all else.
What do you like to watch on tv?
Family Guy, American Dad, Game Of Thrones, Ray Donovan, Walking Dead and recently lots of documentaries!
Top 3 designers?
Dolce Gabana, Gucci and watch out for my friend Michael Ngo!
If you weren’t singing, what would you be doing?
I would be doing something miserably wondering why the hell I’m not singing!
How important is Social Media for you?
I love that I can interact with fans and connect with them and hopefully inspire them sometimes too. The accessibility between artist and fan is really cool. On the whole I really enjoy it. Sometimes there is a lot of pressure though. Like, if I forget to post a pic onto IG or don’t feel like tweeting anything I get into trouble with management and they are like “Hey did you post on IG, Twitter, FB, SnapChat and Periscope today??” Eeeeek!!! It’s cool but for me it’s all about singing and performing on stage. That is my home!
