Melissa Carcache has always known she was destined to be a part of the entertainment industry since she was a young girl. Born and raised in Miami, Florida by Cuban immigrant parents, Carcache fell in love with acting at the tender age of five, when she made her debut as a crow in her kindergarten play. The seemingly insignificant role had a major impact on her life. For the first time she was sure that she wanted nothing more than to act, while her parents insisted that she live a “normal” childhood. Though her parents did not want her to work at such a young age, they instilled in her principles of resilience and a strong work ethic. After struggling to make a living for themselves in a new country, her parents shared with her that it was their initial failures that challenged them to learn and grow into the successful entrepreneurs that they’ve become. With the blessing of her parents, at the age of fourteen, Carcache finally began to pursue her craft. Shortly after enrolling in a rigorous Florida acting school, she was selected to audition for the Best New Talent competition in Los Angeles, to showcase her talent for an audience of top managers, agents, and casting directors in Los Angeles. The program’s intensive training not only further developed her work ethic, but it also earned her a Best Comedic Actress award.
After finishing high school, Carcache put her parents’ wise words about perseverance to the test when she moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18. Leaving behind her family and the foundation they had built in Miami, she began her journey into the entertainment industry with a web-only commercial for Intel laptops. She later transitioned to the small screen with several more national spots for Wal-Mart, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Jack In The Box, and Mazda to name a few. She was also seen as the host of the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines in-cabin shopping show, Buy Design, for two years.
Carcache’s breakthrough came when she was cast as Lily on Nickelodeon’s Every Witch Way. After scouring the U.S. for months in search of the right actress for the role, the network cast Melissa just four days after her audition. She has effortlessly played the witch guardian and school nurse to the show’s main character Emma ever since. The highly-anticipated fourth season is currently in production and is set to premiere this summer.
When she’s not busy making her mark on the small screen, Carcache is a passionate philanthropist. In a case of life imitating art, she has brought her role as a caretaker into her real life, serving as a dedicated volunteer at Miami Children’s Hospital after spending many hours there as a child while her younger brother was being treated. St. Jude’s Children’s Hospitals are also very dear to her heart.
Carcache currently splits her time between Miami and Los Angeles. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her parents, younger brother Christian, and younger sister Stephanie, who is a recording artist. She also loves exploring new restaurants, cooking, working out, and staying abreast on the latest in fashion. An avid fan of the Miami Heat, she cites Dwayne Wade and former Small Forward LeBron James as her favorite players.

Hi Melissa please tell us about you?
Hi! My name is Melissa Carcache and I am best known for my role as Lily on Nickelodeon’s Every Witch Way. I’m from Miami, Florida and of Cuban descent. I’m the oldest of three kids and have a puppy named Romeo.
Why and how did you get started in acting?
I’ve always known I wanted to be actress. I was always very curious as a child. I wanted to know why things happen, or why people do what they do and tell their stories. I got started in Miami and took a lot of acting classes and did a lot of auditions.
Which role has been the most challenging?
I feel everything I’ve done up to this point as been somewhat of a challenge just because no project is the same. I love to challenge myself and grow from my experiences.
What has been your biggest achievement as an actress?
Being able to be a working actress is my biggest achievement. I’m very grateful to Nickelodeon for giving me the opportunity to be a part of Every Witch Way.
Tell us about your role as Lily in Nickelodeon hit series Every Witch Way?
Lily is Emma’s guardian and a member of the witches’ council. She is a powerless witch, but she’s very smart and wise beyond her years.

Who are you favorite fashion designers? Why?
That’s hard to answer! I love the classics like Chanel and Hermes because they are just timeless and make you feel like a lady. I also love Marchesa, it’s a dream of mine to wear one of their gowns one day.
Describe your fashion style?
I would say it’s trendy chic with a hint of glam. I love to take the trends and make them my own. I like to keep it simple and have amazing hair and makeup to make the whole look pop.

I will still be acting for sure but my dad always told me if I wanted to make God laugh to tell him my plans…to some degree he’s right. I try not to make plans too far out in advance.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Passionate, giving, and determined
What’s your favorite music?
Depends on my mood. I can listen to anything from Pop and Country to even 80’s music.
Best advice ever given?
To never give up. It was very hard for me in the beginning of my career and there were many times where I wanted to quit. My dad would always tell me to never give up. He believes the only way you could truly fail is if you quit. As long as you keep pushing forward you will eventually make it.
What’s a normal day in your life?
I’m an early bird so I wake up at 6:00 am, get a quick work out in, have breakfast, shower, and get my day started.
