Hey Guys, I’m Stiv Hey. DJ and producer from Italy now based in Barcelona. Happy to talk with you!
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Crazy, Passionate, Classy.
Who has been the biggest inspiration in your life? Why?
I have a very new entry here lol I must say my business partner Antonio, because of what he accomplished in the past 20 years. He is literally inspiring me every day in the past 3 years through his presence and talks.
When and how did you get started?
It was 2012, I saw a billboard for a music production course outside my University and I enrolled, this is how I started!
Do you have any music influence?
I’m constantly influenced but every kind of music I listen to. I’m very careful with this.
Explain your sound in 3 words?
Sexy, Techno, Champagne
What is the best part of life as a DJ?
The connection with the crowd.
What does it feel like when you are up on stage?
It’s a mix of so many feelings. So intense, difficult to describe with words. Excitement dominates them all.
Now tell us about your recent Interference EP hit?
“Interference” is my new creation and shows a different sound I was cooking in the studio in the last 2 years. It’s much more Sexy and Techno!
Any future collaborations?
Yeah! Very exciting projects going on: a mini Album in the making with my good friend Paride Saraceni and a b2b sessions project with Leon from Music On!
Are there any other artists you would love to collaborate with or remix?
Yes, exactly the ones I mentioned above. When I want something, I do it 🙂
Your top 3 festivals?
The 3 best festivals I have been to are: Sunwaves, Music On Festival in Amsterdam and Timewarp.
What is the best city that you have traveled to as a tourist/working?
Definitely the Mauritius Island, happiest place in the world.
What makes you decide to play a particular track during your sets?
The crowd! I play for the people to give them the best night ever. As soon as I understand what’s working or not on a particular crowd (respecting my style) I know what tracks to play.
What’s your motto or the advice you live by?
We Only Live Once.
Funniest thing that ever happened at an event?
Slips & bra on the mixer- sounds funny enough?
What are your plans for 2018?
Take our brand Memories to the next level.
How do you spend your spare time?
What does spare time mean? 🙂
What kind of music do you listen to today?
Techno!
Any loves, other then music?
Beautiful women, travels, good food, water, and sunrises.
