Artistic, perfectionist, hungry
Who is your biggest supporter?
Mom and Dad.
How did you get started in the industry?
Dancing all over the world turned into film school in NYC, which turned into this!
What was your first acting role?
It was a film called ‘Make it Happen’. I played the main character (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) as a young girl, dancing with her mother.
What is the best and worst part of being an actress?
The best part is knowing that I am doing what I truly love, and that I’ve done a lot to get to this place and I will do a lot to stay here. The worst part is the unpredictability of this business. There is a constant unknown and it can be painful letting go of projects that you’ve already let into your heart.
Best advice ever given to you?
Persistence and passion toward purpose equals success.
Tell us about your recent project “I STILL SEE YOU,” and about your role?
I Still See You is about a post-apocalyptic event that leaves the world inhabited by ghosts. I play Janine, Ronnie’s (Bella Thorne) childhood best friend. Janine is usually more preoccupied with the gossip at school than the severity of the situation her best friend is in. She adds some comic relief and lighthearted fun to the scenes between the two girls. It created a really interesting dynamic between them.
How was working alongside Bella Thorne?
It was great! We were able to bond a lot, making it easier to create an authentic on-screen charisma as childhood friends. We remain good friends to this day. She is a remarkable woman and an exceptional actress.
What has been your most memorable experience from the sets you’ve worked on so far that you can share?
There was this one night… I was called to the set of ‘Nomis’ at 11:00pm. I worked through the night and didn’t leave set until 9AM the next morning. That same morning I had my first day on set for ‘I Still See You’. They had to change my hair colour—add extensions, the whole shebang and I went on to work another 12 hour day…all on zero sleep. It was hectic to say the least, and I’ll probably never forget it!
What are some of your favourite projects you have been part of?
I truly love every project I do for many different reasons. It is honestly too difficult to single out just one! Between the people I meet, the work I get to do, and the lessons I’ve learned… all the projects are important in their different ways!
Who is your favorite Actor/Actress? And why?
I am really loving Mila Kunis right now. I feel like she does it all! Her career path is a huge inspiration to me.
3 things you can’t leave your house without?
Phone, inhaler and wallet… or sometimes candy! As long as I don’t need my wallet to buy the candy.
Your idea of a perfect Sunday is?
Lazy lazy lazy! Maybe a park or beach sunset if its a nice day… And take-out for dinner, of course.
Describe a normal day in your life:
Well, I start by waking up and brushing my teeth. Then I move on to my (annoyingly thorough) face routine. I drink lots of coffee and usually learn some sides, maybe do an audition tape. I get all the work I have to do that day done whilst calling my Mom multiple times a day and eating whatever, whenever. But my favourite part is the end of the day, when I get into my robe and do a different (yet still annoyingly thorough) face routine. I love the quiet times at the end of the day, relaxing with candles, all that good stuff.
What is your favorite healthy food?
Açai bowls
And your favorite cheat food?
Candy & pizza
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I would love to be executive producing my own projects. The ability to have creative control and produce something I can be proud of is really something I look forward to. Also, Italy…
Do you support any charities?
The Orange Daisy project is an organization that is really close to my heart. Their focus is on mental health in young women. I do anything I can to help fight against the stigma held around mental health and wellness. No one should feel alone, and so The Orange Daisy project helps by creating a place to go and a person to talk to who may help them remember just that— you are never alone!
