My name is Shirley Maurina, I currently live in Mexico City after living in other places for the last 6 years.
How did you get started in the industry?
I started modeling after some fashion and beauty competitions in the South of Brazil, professionally at 18 in Porto Alegre with Merlyn models, and then when I was 19 with Way models in São Paulo. Later I received the support of Lequipe models which was the one that linked me to the Mexican market.
What magazines have you been in over the course of your career? And what magazine or project is still on your bucket list?
I have been in magazines like Gliter, Glamour, Claudia, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue among many others that I can not remember. I love the editorials so I’m always open to work in other projects.
How was working with the team of Swimwear Fashion Shooting?
Working with the team of Swimwear Fashion Shooting was a great experience with a very professional team (I have already worked with some of the team members in the past) I think we had a great time and we all gave our best.
Have you been in Quintana Roo, Mexico before the shooting?
Yes. I have been there before and is a really magical place with beautiful nature.
Which place is your favorite from Quintana Roo?
I don’t have a favorite place yet as I still have lots of places to visit.

Do you have a role model?
Of course. Im pretty open with my life, but one thing I have is when I wake up Im always on a bad mood.

With the family or in the beach or in my house in Flores da Cunha. (South of Brazil)
On the modeling side, beautiful women like you are very intimidating to most men. How should someone approach you?
The first thing will have to do is to be respectful and polite.
Do you have any inspiration?
My inspiration has always been my family for the determination and love for which they give to me.
Who is your favorite actor / actress? and why?
Robin Williams, for me it is among the best actors in history, no doubt he participated in great movie classics and he always gave body and soul to his characters.
Who is your beauty inspiration?
I do not have one in specific.
Who are some of your favorite models and designers and why?
Gisele Bündchen, Alessandra Ambrosio, Carol Trentini, and many others for the world of fashion recognition and of course they are from Brazil.
And for the Designers I love the style of Stella McCartney.
How’s a normal day in your life?

I like the a basic look and at the same time I like an elegant one. I like also the hippie/chic style.

Im doing now a Vegan habit and trying to eat very healthy. But I do love french fries 🙂
In five years you will be…
