Strong, Creative and Caring.
Name one your strengths?
My compassion for others
What inspires you?
I am inspired by strong women who make a positive impact in today’s society.
Why and how did you get started in acting?
When I was little, I really enjoyed watching shows on the Disney channel and I wanted to join in. I loved to make up my own shows and perform them for my family. When an agency held open auditions in my town, I decided to try out. Soon after, I was signed by an agency.
What roles do you like to play? And why?
I like to play emotional roles because it’s interesting to figure out how I should portray the character. The character is usually very different from how I behave in real life, so I like the challenge.
Tell us about “Mommy’s Little Princess,” and your role as Lizzy?
The movie is about a young girl named Lizzy who was raised in poverty by a drug addicted mother. When her mother dies from an overdose, Lizzy is adopted by Julianna, played by Alicia Leigh Willis. Julianna buys Lizzy a genetics test so that she can find out about her family’s history. Lizzy learns she is a descendent of a royal family in Germany. She becomes obsessed with becoming a member of the royal family and is willing to do anything to make that happen.
What’s your advice for the newer actors?
If you really love and enjoy acting, just go for it, but you have to always believe in yourself. The best thing you can do is never give up.
What other projects are you a part of?
I play a character called Abigail in the new upcoming NBC series The InBetween. I am also in a new Netflix series, but I’m not allowed to reveal any details about it yet, so stayed tuned! Both these projects should air later this year. This April, you can also see me in The Silence, on Netflix. Currently airing on Netflix, I play young Sara in the Black Mirror episode Arkangel, directed by the incredible Jodie Foster and I play Susie in the film Lavender.
How does a normal day in your life look like?
I wake up around 7:30 a.m. and get ready for school. I attend school and about an hour before school ends, I attend the school’s Arts & Media program for dance. If I have an audition, I leave school early and drive to Toronto with my dad. If I don’t have an audition, I go home after school, eat dinner and then get ready for my dance classes. I usually dance until 9:00 p.m. most nights of the week. When I return home from dance, I finish my homework and if I have time, I play on my phone for a bit. On the weekends, I have more dance classes and after, I enjoy going to the mall with my friends.
What has been the hardest part of your career?
The hardest part of my career is filming for long periods of time late into the night. When I finish, I usually have more lines to memorize for the next day, but I always pull through because I love what I do.
Best advice ever given?
