Hi, I’m Whitney Allen 23 years old from Houston, TX. I’m the CEO and founder of WhitneyTalks, my mission is to provide my audience with the inside scoop when it comes to all things music, fashion, and art. My entertainment-based website allows me to interview designers, artists, and entrepreneurs all over the world ! I hope to create not only the platform but, inspire others that are on their mission to go after their destiny.

What is your own definition of happiness?
My definition of happiness, as I’ve gotten older and gained more experience with life and the journey of entrepreneurship is having peace. Allowing myself to live in the present and allow God to lead and direct me in the right direction and path.
Who was your role model as a child?
My parents, they’ve established such an amazing foundation and platform for my siblings and I.
What is the key to your success?
Stay grounded, keep your goals inlined and learn more about your craft daily.
What did you learn from your biggest failure? (if any)
To ask for HELP, others are willing to assist you. I’m getting better at this, it’s still an ongoing process.

Are there busy and quiet periods during the year?
Quiet, I have to establish my own quiet time.
What does fashion mean to you?
Everything! I’m a very chic and classic gal. Not big on trends but I love fashion and good quality pieces that last.
How would you explain your fashion style and what items in your closet can you not be without?
Clean, chic and simple. I love a good set of any and a sucker for a pant suit.
Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
Globally established, an office space on the East/ West Coast for my company and clients that are following their destiny and journey.
Best advice ever given?
Keep God first and remain authentic to your craft.
What is your favorite healthy food?
Avocado & Kale Salad!

Froyo!
What advice do you have other aspiring entrepreneur women?
Keep your head up.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
My twin sister.

As of now, I don’t have a favorite song. I’m a huge fan of Beyonce, EVERYTHING IS LOVE is still a daily shuffle on my playlist !
What is your idea of a perfect Sunday?
My favorite day of the week ! My Sunday always starts off with Sunday service at my local church in Houston. Followed by brunch if my family’s up to it or I’ll head to the gym for a quick work out session, closing with organizing for the upcoming week.
Do you support any charity?
I’m blessed to have my 3rd party charity foundation (WhitneyTalks) with M.D. Anderson Cancer Center here in Houston. Whitney Talks Foundation is from my father’s passing from cancer in 2008. There’s so my charity’s I would love to be apart of this upcoming year.
