Check out our interview with singer/songwriter HAVEN who has been touring the nation since age 15 with major country acts Thomas Rhett, Lady Antebellum, Toby Keith and Hunter Hayes. Haven recently launched her new pop sound in November 2019, with the release of “Swimming In Your Feelings”. The song debuted at #6 on Radio Disney’s Top Ten and went viral on TikTok, reaching 12 million+ users on the platform within the first week of its release.
Now, Haven is kicking off 2020 with the recent release of her 2nd single “Be With You” which Selena Gomez co-signed in this Instagram post and already sits within the Top 10 on Radio Disney. Haven will be releasing more Pop singles throughout Spring 2020.

Hi Haven, please tell us a little about you?
Hey! I’m Haven 🙂 I love hugs. I’m originally from a town of about 1,600 ppl in Iowa, I do music, I have 3 brothers, my fav snack is cheeto puffs and I’m excited to be doing this interview with y’all!
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Bubbly, sporty, fun.
Who has made the biggest impact on your life so far, and why?
My Grandma Diane has made the biggest impact on my life. She passed away last year, but she was a big believer that love conquers all. She just had such a positive outlook on life and the most beautiful soul. She always encouraged me to chase my dreams and to do what I love. She was my biggest fan ❤️ She was and still is a very very special person in my life.
How did you get started in the business?
Music was always something I’ve loved ever since I can remember. I bought a guitar with my birthday money when I was 9 and started writing songs, but I didn’t start really pursuing music seriously until I was 12. I started fronting a band doing around 100 dates a year, traveling to Nashville to be in writing sessions every day, and take meetings. Then I homeschooled all of high school to be traveling and pursuing music as well. I lived in my band trailer at 15 with my mom so I could be touring and writing in Nashville. At around 19, I started traveling to LA to write for this pop project. So, it’s pretty much been my everything for a while 🙂
Describe your sound in 3 words?
Pop, hip hop, vibey.
Who influenced you and why did you choose to make music?
My mom took me to my first concert to see Shania Twain when I was 4yrs old and I looked up at her and said “I want to do that”. I’d always had the dream of selling out stadiums and as I grew up music was something that was always in me. I started writing songs before I even knew what writing songs was.
What is your next goal as a musician?
My next goal is to keep releasing music and to go on another tour after this tour so I can continue to meet fans and do what I love. 🙂
Now tell us about your single “Be With You?”
The process for writing “Be With You” was super rare. I was in a session and we had already written 2 songs that day. We had about 30mins left and thought we’d try to knock out one more idea before the session was up. We ended up writing the whole song in 20 minutes. It literally felt like “Be With You” fell out of the sky. We wrote it faster than we could type it. That almost never happens, but it’s so cool when it does.

And about the huge success of your single “Swimming In Your Feelings?”
I’m so thankful for the response to “Swimming In Your Feelings”! Radio Disney has been so incredibly supportive. I love them! So many people made fun videos on tik tok! It was so much fun!
How did it feel to have support from Selena Gomez?
It almost didn’t feel real. She has been so welcoming and kind to me and I am so incredibly thankful for her friendship and support. I’ve looked up to her almost my whole life she is truly an angel! Very very thankful for her support!
Do you have a tour coming up or where we can see you performing?
Yes!! I will be going on tour with Dinah Jane and Agnez Mo starting April 7th! I’m SO EXCITED!!
What we can expect of Haven in 2020?
Lots of new music and I’m going on tour! So lots of shows ! I’m so excited to meet everyone 🙂

What is your own definition of happiness?
Family and friends.
Any loves other than music?
Sports and the outdoors
How’s a typical day in your life?
Wake up, workout, go to the studio, watch Netflix, sleep, repeat. Lol
Idea of a perfect Sunday?
Go to church and chill with fam.
Who is your biggest beauty inspiration?
Selena Gomez.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Probably my grandma, I just want to talk and hug her again.
How do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully happy and doing what I love! I hope to be headlining my own arena tour!
How would you describe your fashion style?
Clothes that are cute and fun, but comfy.. that’s always the dream haha
What do you think of Social Media?
I think social media if used in the right ways is a great source for artists to get their music out and reach people they may have never been able to reach before. I love connecting and meeting new people. It’s given me an outlet to connect and also support other people on their journey.
