Megan, how do you know when interior design is “good”?
When your mood elevates when you walk into a space.
What is your personal philosophy on interior design and home decor?
You get what you pay for. You should only have two things in your home things that are beautiful and things that are useful.
You’re an interior designer. So you must be constantly looking to the future…
I am a visionary but I try very hard to be present and enjoy the moment.
How do you combine beauty and function?
Function first Beauty second but you can’t have one without the other.
What inspires you?
Travel, music, art and architecture.
If a student wanted to enter the field, what advice would you give them?
Work hard and never stop creating and taking risks.
What do you look for in a candidate during a work candidate?
Anticipates my needs and my clients, hardworking, passionate and meticulous attention to detail.
What are you working on at the moment?
Lots.
What’s the strangest request you’ve gotten for a job?
Signed an NDA, can’t disclose-yes that weird… second would be hanging a 1926 Amalcar from a 2 level wall.
What is your favorite project to date?
The one I’m currently working on. Top Secret. Stay tuned.
Projects for the future?
Jay Leno’s garage renovation or Jeff Bezo’s new home, lol on my bucket list…
