Best advice ever given?
Always be kind to everyone and don’t talk about what you’re working on to people until it’s finalized- basically the more successful you become, the less you speak about it.
Who has been the biggest influence on your life?
There’s a few people who have influenced me in big ways throughout my life but with different things.. but, overall, I’d probably have to say my Mom.
How and when did you start into modeling?
I got asked to be a model for a local motor-cross company in Wisconsin/Minnesota when I was a freshman in college. That was my first gig in 2013… but then I really got into modeling when I moved out to LA in 2015 to pursue it.
What is fun and rewarding about modeling? And what is not?
I enjoy meeting and connecting with new people on sets and getting to travel and have fun experiences. I would have to say the most rewarding part though is seeing the beautiful pictures that the photographer and I create together. You get to tell a story and capture a moment that lasts forever and I think that’s a beautiful thing. My least favorite thing would probably have to be that I always have to be on top of my game so as much as it’s a fun job to have, it’s also a very demanding job at the same time. It also can be very harsh and cut throat at times so you definitely have to have thick skin in this industry.
What did you learn from your biggest failure?
To always be prepared and ready for anything at any time. Also, never burn bridges.
The most important thing when you are shooting is?
To be confident and relax your mouth.
What’s your advice for the newer models?
Love yourself and don’t be too hard on yourself. Work hard and stay healthy abs true to yourself and don’t forget to treat yourself. And just because sometimes you may not be what someone is looking for doesn’t mean you’re not beautiful. Be unique and be kind and you’ll go far.
What would say are the greatest lessons you learned so far in this business?
Be careful who you trust and don’t talk about what projects you’re working on or booked until they’re released because in this industry, a lot of things can switch at a snap of a finger.
What book should every entrepreneur read?
Never Split the Difference
What actor/actress do you admire the most, and why?
I’d probably have to say Cameron Diaz. I’ve just always loved her vibe and energy on camera.
What’s next for Antje Utgaard in 2021?
Continue to grow my name and myself as a brand. Also, getting more into the film industry again and really positioning myself so that I’m ready for what life has to offer.

To be a Sports Illustrated Model, to be on the cover of Vogue and GQ
In five years from now, where do you see yourself and your career?
I see myself having a large and supportive audience across all my platforms, having a lead role in a feature film or a regular role in a tv series, having graced the cover of a few
major covers, potentially get married and have my dream home.
Now talking about Instagram, can you share some tips for keeping your account interesting?
You have to switch the content up in some way. People get bored of the same thing but they also hate when you completely go off your brand because they did initially follow you for a reason. Keep the content clean and colorful and fun!
You are followed by so many people. How do you feel about that pressure of doing always the right thing, and encourage people to follow their dreams?
I find that I’m actually very good at encouraging others to go after they want but I personally love it. It brings me joy to be able to shine hope into someone’s lives. We could all use a little more hope and encouragement. Sometimes all it takes is a little push and words of wisdom to help us see that we can all fly if we want to. It just takes that first step. Don’t be scared to go after what you want.
I bet you get millions of it, but what are the best and worst Instagram DM pickup lines you received so far?
The best are the ones that are sweet and encouraging. Telling me I’m beautiful and funny and I make there day… When guys are kind and aren’t extremely thirsty in there DM- that actually gets my attention way more. The worst would probably have to be- a guy who makes it all about wanting to be with me and when I don’t respond they come back at me calling me terrible names and telling me I’m a bad person and they hate me cause I won’t go out with them… it’s a little crazy.. ????
What is your favorite healthy food?
I love salmon! I eat it probably every other day.
And your favorite cheat food?
Ice cream!! My favorite is rum raisin and black olive goat cheese brittle from Salt and Straw ????
What is your own definition of happiness?
Being comfortable with who you are. Having the freedom to be and do what you want every day and being able to give that to others as well.
How would your best friend describe you?
Fun, energetic and silly!
Who is your biggest beauty inspiration?
Probably Sophia Vergara. Also, I hope I age like JLO
What does fashion mean to you?
Wearing something unique and specific to ones personality. It’s an expression of ones self and it has to be unique to them.
Who are some of your favorite models and designers, and why?
Models: Rosie Hungington, Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevingne, Kate Upton, Katie Moss
Designers: YSL, Chanel, Balenciaga, Gucci
How would you explain your fashion style and what items in your closet can you not be without?
My style is very sexy tomboy. I love my Yankees baseball caps, overalls and leather jackets (not together… but they’re some of my go to items)
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Probably Larry David. I’ve always been a big fan of him and his work. The guy just seems to have it figured out.
What would be the dream holiday, and who would you go with?
I’d love to go to Thailand soon and it would be fun to go with my sisters.
What do you like to watch on Tv?
Ones I never get sick of watching are SNL, Curb your enthusiasm and the Simpsons.
What music do you like?
I love classic rock and hip hop
Do you support any charity?
I try to give my time and volunteer when I can. I also help from time to time to UNICEF and I also donate to help the environment in my home town called Riverwood Nature Center.

Idea of a perfect Sunday?
Go on a morning hike with my dog
Then go to church
Then go have brunch with some girlfriends
Then go do a little shopping
Maybe go for a walk on the beach or play some beach volleyball in the evening
Go home and cook some dinner
Maybe have a bath and watch some movies
Then have an early night to just relax and get ready for the week.
