Check out our interview with talented pop-artist and model Anna Chase who just released her new single “Color”, produced by industry maverick Jakke Erixson.
Recorded in Los Angeles and Paraguay in August 2020, the song is written by Chase and produced by Jakke Erixson, aka T.I Jakke. Jakke has previously worked with iconic artists such as Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias and Tini and Alvaro Soler. Additionally, he wrote Ava Max’s global #1 hit “Kings & Queens” which has over 350 million streams and is soon-to-be double platinum in the U.S. He has previously produced Chase’s earlier music such as “Aventura” and “Frontera”.
While listening to the single, Chase wants her audience to separate themselves from the stresses of everyday life and to feel comfortable with being their authentic selves.

Hi Anna, please tell us a little about you?
I was born in Denver, Colorado and was raised in Asuncion, Paraguay.
I started working as a model at a young age and eventually one thing led to another. On a modeling trip I went to karaoke and a friend recorded a video of my performance, he put it up on YouTube and that’s when I dared to jump into the music world.
A few cover videos and showcases at bars later, I ended up working on national TV in Paraguay.

Happy, energetic, uplifting
Who influenced you and why did you choose to make music?
Singing is my therapy. I just didn’t see myself doing anything else. I tried politics, even started college and it just didn’t feel right at all. My family has always been very supportive.
Do you play any instrument?
Piano
Do you ever get nervous?
Before going on stage? Every time.
Tell us about the success of your new single “Color?”
Color is the introduction of a new phase for me. I needed an uplifting song like Color, especially after 2020. It makes me happy every time I make a song and the fact that people are reacting to it the same way means the world to me.
What’s the story behind the song?
Quarantine happened and I wanted to lighten up the mood. Jakke sent me the track and it was meant to be, the lyrics came out very natural and easy.
How was working with such talented people like Jakke Erixson (Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias) for the single?
It is always great to work with Jakke. Especially with Color I feel like we connected really well on the concept of the song. And he’s a genius when it comes to the track! He always sends me the best ideas, and comes with amazing experience having worked with
Did you have plans/concerts planned and cancelled because of COVID? If so, have you done any online concerts or interaction with your fans?
Yes. That’s been the hardest thing for me during quarantine, not singing or sharing moments with an audience.
I’ve had a few online concerts from home, just me and my piano. It felt weird at first but there was a big sense of companionship at the end.
Which project is still on your bucket list?
More music, more collaborations and acting in movie or tv show.
What is fun and rewarding about what you do? And what’s not?
What I love the most about being a singer is that I get to express myself freely. Also, sharing all of this with fans and feeling that there’s so much kindness around you from them, showing you love and support. That’s great!
Unrewarding: maybe the inconsistency. There are times where you can do great and other times where everything feels still.

What is your favorite song? And why?
I love a song called “Boa Sorte” by Vanessa da Mata. It gives me peace.
Any loves other than music?
Nature and animals.
Best advice ever given?
It must be one from my grandpa. He’s always got the best advice.
How’s a typical day in your life?
gym, music, meetings, rehearsals, recordings, photoshoots.
Name one your strengths?
Being patient.
Idea of a perfect Sunday?
Good weather. Enjoying family and friends. Milanesas con pure or a barbecue.
What is your favorite song to belt out in the car/for karaoke?
I’m obsessed with WOW by Zara Larsson currently
What is your own definition of happiness?
Just being aware of the blessings and small things that surround us. Happiness is an exercise.
What is your favorite healthy food?
I love eating fruits.
And your favorite cheat food?
Mac n cheese or a cheeseburger
What would be a deal breaker on a first date?
Bad breath
How do you see yourself in 5 years?
Balanced between professional and personal life.
How would you describe your fashion style?
Casual chic.
