Hi Kolten, please tell us a little about you?
Well I started my acting and music career at a very young age. Always training as a triple or really quadruple threat it’s just something I’ve always known I was meant to do. Outside of the entertainment industry it’s coding, gaming, and streaming life on Twitch.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Kind, Funny, and Outgoing
We’re sure you have been asked this million times but how did you get in the industry?
Acting and modeling began at the age of four just by chance. My family and I just happen to be eating at a Barbeque restaurant and ended up in a commercial they were shooting that day! Becoming a singer kind of happened the same way just by chance. While auditioning as a dancer for AMTC they asked me to sing at the audition so they picked me to sing as well at their convention! That winter we were able to attend the convention in Orlando, Florida and won the VIP Choice Award for child singer. Shortly after I signed with an artist developer and haven’t looked back! Entertainment and the stage is where I belong and I’m enjoying the journey.
Describe your sound in 3 words?
Smooth, Pop, Emotional
Do you play any instrument?
Yes guitar and piano
Do you ever get nervous?
I don’t, surprisingly, absolutely love being on stage and on set
Tell us about your new hit single “Medicine?”
I’m really proud of my song “Medicine” it was my first song to release in my second EP and it’s done really well. “Medicine” has great vibes and it’s really great for the teen generation.
What’s the story behind the song?
I’m sure the message will resonate with a lot of teenagers today, but sometimes you have that special someone that just doesn’t let you in, or even share how they feel. You can really start to feel closed off and if they would just open up you could help them.
Did you had plans/concerts planned and cancelled because of COVID? If so have you done any online concerts or interaction with your fans?
COVID has really killed the entertainment industry across the world everything has been cancelled and it’s so frustrating. There have been a couple of opportunities to perform live online with ENT Bash and events locally in Texas. Really looking forward to the day when live concerts are a thing again it’s something I think we all miss!
Now tell us about your work in the film “MAGIC MAX?”
This has to be one of my favorite sets to work on the cast and crew were so amazing and we all became such good friends. In the film you will see me as Clifford who continues to bully Tim played by ‘This is Us” Parker Bates. It’s a great family film that really tugs at the heart with a bit of magic. Most of my scenes are magic tricks gone wrong and fist fights with little Tim not the most loved character in the movie but so fun to play!
What other projects you have been part of?
I’ve had the opportunity to do television, film, and voiceover and I can’t get enough! Some you may recognize are Nickelodeons Show Drop That Seat, Hulu’s Future Man with Seth Rogen and Josh Hutcherson, or killer Nate Anderson on ID Channel’s Lonestar Justice, and more.
What kind of roles do you like or would like to play and why?
You will always catch me as the bully or killer and I really like playing those characters but I would love to play a character that can showcase my singing and dancing skills some day
Which project is still on your bucket list?
Definitely an animated character in a box office Movie
What is fun and rewarding about what you do? And what’s not?
To entertain in anyway brings me joy and is rewarding when it touches others. Knowing you make a difference to someone in any way is the greatest reward.
What is you favorite song? And why?
“Before You Go” love the emotion behind the song
Any loves other than music and acting?
