We would love to know more about your career journey. How did you get your start into Real Estate?
I started working in real estate in 2013 at Miron Properties, which has since sold to NRT. I decided to get into real estate after a failed startup attempt in the geo-social networking space. This was the time that Tinder became what it is today and I wanted to make something better. When it failed I chose to go into brokerage and haven’t looked back.
What are your success habits?
Persistence always beats resistance. This is my success habit. Never giving up and working harder than the competition is why I believe I have been so successful in this business. My persistent attitude has helped me get deals done that many brokers would’ve thought were dead. The deal is never dead until it’s dead.
What was the hardest career decision you ever had to make?
Starting my own team while the toughest decisions I had to make has proved to be the most rewarding. I run a team at Compass in NYC and Miami. In NY my team consists of James Connors as Director of Operations. I then have Sam Dahdal, David Berger and Jason Tsalkas as agents. In Miami I have Jaime Blatt, Karina Asturias and Amanda Malone. Without the team I wouldn’t be where I am today. Year to date we have done over $50,000,000 in sales across both markets. I am so grateful for my team and can’t wait to get to the number one spot.
If you could start all over again, what would you do differently?
NOTHING!
What is the best advice you can give to a first time home buyer?
Find a broker that you like who can add value to your search. Someone who knows the product that you are looking for, whether they can bring you off market properties or if they have significant experience selling what you are looking for. My team and I are capable of handling all price points in NYC, The Hamptons and Miami. Each member of the team specializes in a specific neighborhood which gives the consumer the best service possible.
How do you advertise your listings?
I rely heavily on my curated rolodex that I have acquired over the last ten years. On that list I have about 100,000 plus email addresses of brokers, clients, whether present or past. We are big into social media advertising. Spending money on paid IG ads have been huge in helping us find buyers for our properties and as well as finding new business. Last year I sold 12 apartments all through social media. We use a mixture of still photos, as well as a video team to capture our listings and put them out in a way that the consumer can easily view them. Once COVID happened we began doing virtual tours through matterport which helps buyers view a listing before coming in person.
What are your goals for 2021?
Goals for 2021 are to sell over $100,000,000 which we are now halfway there. To sell out the remaining units at my project 570 Broome in NYC. We are nearly 80% sold with our last remaining PH closing shortly. It is truly one of my greatest career achievements.
