Whether you’re new to vaping dry herbs and concentrates, or to cannabis products in general, it’s always good to go back to the basics of the “hows” of vaping”. The how-tos are very simple, to be quite frank. However, there’s more to vaping than “inhaling vapour” alone. There’s proper heating settings, proper drafting, and more.
So, we came up with another guide about vaping dry herbs and concentrates, plus a “where” for finding a Vaporizer for concentrate products right here.
Take a look at this list and try it out. It’s been verified and the recommendations work!
Vaping Guide On Temperature Settings Vs. Potency Vs. Intensity
These words are not synonyms in cannabis terminology. Yet more than often, people use them interchangeably. Temperature, potency, and intensity are three individual words that, though interlinked, are defined differently. One from the next. They work together and towards one goal— to provide you with a vaping experience that’s pro-worthy. And vaping sessions that are as soothing as dry herbs and concentrates get.
Temperature Settings
Vaping temperature is not a synonym of vaping intensity. But it’s what leads to the desired intensity you prefer for your drafts. The beauty of vaporizers is that they are incorporated with such settings that allow temperature adjustment. Something you won’t get with joints, bongs, and pipes.
One mistake to avoid is to set the temperature without knowing how much it will affect the intensity of the vapour. Remember, the higher the temperature, the more you’ll get out of your dry herbs. Hence, the more the intensity.
Let 160 degrees be your marker. That’s where you can start if you haven’t really tried vaping at higher temperatures. Leave that to the pros. Or at least, until you get accustomed to raising the temperature of your draft, a step at a time.
Warm-Up At From The Low To Mid Setting
There’s such a thing as warming up the vaporizer for about a minute or so before you take your first dry herb or concentrate draft. This will allow the vape’s oven to rev up, much like a car’s engine does, when you hit the ignition and let its engine purr on before hitting the road.
A thing to remember is that there is a correct way of doing it. You can’t just switch the vape on and leave it as is. Ascertain that the temperature is set from 160 degrees to 170 degrees. And if you’re one who likes raising the numbers to get that really strong yet aromatic flavour, adjust the setting gradually after the warm-up.
Incidentally, newer vape pen versions have enhanced heating mechanisms so that vape warm-ups can be completed in half a minute.
Dry Herb Intensity
The intensity of what you vape is defined differently from the “potency” of your dry herbs. We’ll get to the latter in a bit. Vaping intensity is closely related to the vaporizer’s temperature settings.
“Intensity” here points toward how “strong” of a whiff you get with regards to the “thickness” of the vapour, as well as the “strength” of said vapour’s aroma. This one’s strictly about the make of the vapour and not its CBD or THC content.
Temperature settings are the gauge for a draft’s intensity. The lower the temperature, the lower the vapour’s intensity once inhaled. The higher the temperature, the higher the vapour’s intensity accordingly.
Cannabis And/Or Marijuana Potency
Potency is a word that describes the amount of CBD and THC (amongst other components) extracted from the plant itself. Whether freshness or strain, these are variables that affect cannabis’ potency.
For THC, it’s about how much of a high it will induce when used. As for CBD, how effective (and how quickly it will take effect) it is for treating bodily ailments, from pain and inflammation, anxiety, stress, muscle spasms, nausea, etc.
