Hi Madison, please tell us a little about you?
Hi! I’m Madison Louch, 26 years old, born in South Africa, raised in California.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Energetic, Generous, Hungover (sometimes lol)
We’re sure you have been asked this million times but how did you get in the industry?
My parents took me to Salt Lake City for a work trip and we ended up at a rave on my 13th birthday. Benny Benassi was playing, and it was the first time I heard EDM and I immediately became obsessed. I’ve always had a super creative side. I taught myself how to write songs, DJ, and produce during high school. I always gravitated toward music, and I’ve used it to explore my feelings ever since.
Describe your sound in 3 words?
Upbeat, Sexy, Carefree
How is the music scene different from the U.S. to other parts of the world?
The music scene is a lot different than the US in different ways. In other countries, people hear different music in another way. They appreciate the artist’s craftsmanship. They always want you to learn about their culture – it’s a cool experience to learn about what they incorporate in their daily lives. In the US, it’s more repetitive no matter what state you go to. I have found there are less boundaries when it comes to the music scene overseas.
Which artists and styles inspired and influenced you?
Overall, Skrillex, Avicii, Kaskade have inspired me immensely. The older I get, I gravitate more towards different sounds and live shows with artists like FISHER, Chris Lake, and Calvin Harris.
Tell us about your new single “Never Forget?”
“Never Forget” was inspired by a summer I spent with my girlfriends in Mykonos! It was a total blast! There was no boy drama, no arguing – really just the best trip ever. We had Calvin Harris on repeat. It was perfect! So I wanted to recreate that trip in a song, so I was feeling House and summertime vibes mixed with a sexy topline and lyrics.
Tell us about your new Vegas residency at Zouk Nightclub? That’s amazing! Congrats! And What we can expect of those events! I can imagine a lot of energy and great vibes too!
Thank you! I am so beyond excited for my Vegas Residency because it’s always been a dream of mine to have a residency. It’s at a new hotel on the strip, and I’m headlining alongside other artists that have inspired me, as well. I am extremely excited to start this new journey in my career at Resorts World in Las Vegas, and tt’s gonna be a lot different from the shows I typically play when it comes from the genre and atmosphere. It will be the most fun show that you can come to – see you there!
Funniest/Crazy thing that ever happened at an event?
– Craziest moment would have to be having too many girls twerking on stage and I had to stop the show to get them off.
– Funniest moment was me walking up on stage and I missed a step, landed on my face, my drink flew everywhere. It was funny because I just had to stand there while they were cleaning up, my bad!
As a popular DJ, Producer and influencer you are followed by so many people. How do you feel about that pressure of doing always the right thing, and encourage people to follow their dreams?
As someone who plays a major role in influencing others, I’ve learned that the more I am being myself, the less pressure it is. It’s important to be able to fully express yourself – it’s so freeing. You will see my highs and lows. If you’re true to yourself, others will hopefully follow. That is what makes me who I am – I have to stay true to myself no matter what.
What is your own definition of happiness?
I am content with making other people happy and seeing that I make others happy makes me feel like I have a bigger purpose. Also, wine and puppies!
How would you describe your fashion style?
During the day I am laid back – hoodies, sweatpants, ripped jeans, Nikes. But at night, I enjoy dressing up even when I have nowhere to go. I like to have a day and night personality in my ensemble choices.
What’s next for MADDS in 2021?
Al tone of shows within the states and internationally, and more music that defines my sound. And more music videos!!!
