Passionate, powerful, loving
We’re sure you have been asked this million times but how did you get in the industry?
I moved to Los Angeles in my teens and briefly went to music school. I got numerous internships (got a job through one at a label doing internet marketing) and learned everything I could and read every book I could about the music business and songwriting. I also started a band moniker called Diamonds Under Fire around the same time.

Anthemic Popdance grunge
Who influenced you and why did you choose to make music?
Everyone from Nirvana & Kurt Cobain, Dr. Luke, Coco Chanel, joan jett, Gwen Stefani, p diddy, deepak chorpra & Oprah
It’s my purpose while I’m here on this planet.
Do you play any instrument?
I play a little of everything but my main instrument is guitar and vocals
Tell us about your new single “Love Will Always Find A Way?”
It’s a song about having faith in love and trust. It’s about really believing in the power of love and that it will always find its way.
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
The fact that I get to wake up every day and work on music or music projects for myself and other artists is rewarding. I’m so grateful!
Tell us about your experience working with Foo Fighters and Joan Jett, and performed at shows such as Vans Warped Tour and SXSW? That’s amazing. Congrats!
Thank you. Are used to be the end house assistant engineer at the Foo Fighters 606 recording studio in Los Angeles. The Joan Jett song ‘Any Weather’ was my first assistant session actually. I’m so grateful for all the projects I got to work on there. Playing Vans Warped tour was a total dream I grew up going to that in high school. SXSW is definitely a fun and exciting and packed festival! Love it. Played a couple times.
What book should every entrepreneur read?
You should write your own book 😉 but a favorite is Positive Imaging
What would say are the greatest lessons you learned so far?
Listen to your heart & instincts
How would your best friend describe you?
Kind, loyal, honest, trustworthy, fun, caring, and probably I ether motivate you or make you feel lazy.
What’s next for Vanessa Silberman in 2021?
Have a number of different singles in the works they’re all love themed, that will lead up to a bigger release. I have multiple additional recording projects with other artists as well as releases on my label A Diamond Heart Production coming out. There will definitely be some in person shows.
What is your favorite healthy food?
Salads & vegan green protein smoothies
And your favorite cheat food?
Sometimes I’ll have a fancy vegan gluten free pastry or desert
How would you explain your fashion style?
I love fashion designers. My favorites are maje, Chanel, Marc Jacobs, modern Vice. I would say it’s a mix between high fashion and grunge. I’ve been super into vintage or designer blazers lately.
What is your own definition of happiness?
Enjoying every day and feeling grateful …being happy and content at the present moment.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Kurt Cobain, he seems like he was so cool & nice. I’d also love to meet Rick Rubin, Jimmy Iovine, P Diddy, Marc Jacobs. They are just super inspiring.
Best advice ever given?
If you’ve been thinking about doing something in life and waiting for the right moment and you haven’t done it yet quit waiting and go for it
Do you support any charity?
I love any causes about equality as well as supporting women. I just did a show to support human rights campaign. I’m also part of sound girls as well as the California women’s music association.
Where do you see yourself and your career in 5 years from now?
Playing arena‘s with my drummer / music partner Ryan Carnes. Recording in Africa & Europe for various projects as well as having released & recorded numerous charting records. My label A diamond heart has 10 employees.
