Purveyors of their own unique brand of ‘future techno’, Y do I have been on a prolific run of form over the past few years, with their avant-garde productions resonating with a growing legion of loyal fans across the globe. Hi Y do I, please tell us a little about you?
Hello! We are friends since childhood, we both are parents, so we share our love for creation, music and our kids. We appreciate cutting edge movements that nobody has done before. It’s simply inspiring. Overall we like to create a better place for everyone.
We’re sure you have been asked this million times but how did you get in the industry?
Well, David has been in the business for 20 years, coming from different genre of electronic music. He started producing electronic music really young, and did few gigs 15 years back, and here we are. Amos was a party promoter back then, so we kind of started at the same spot, but from different angle.
Describe your sound in 3 words?
Huge, unique & unforgettable
Tell us about your new album?
We tried to do something that no one’s done before, with a huge success in our opinion. We fused techno, psytrance, progressive house & minimal to a musical quest into the unknown. You simply have to hear it, to get the effect of it.
How is the music scene different in Israel to other parts of the world?
The crowd is more intense, more vocal, more emotional & very connected to the surroundings.
Which artists and styles inspired and influenced you?
That’s a hard one, since we mostly don’t hear electronic music now days, and we mostly hear instrumental tracks. But we are inspired by our rhythm from Brazilian bass & psytrance, our melodies inspired by more melodic techno style & retro trance, and our acoustic instruments fusion comes from variety of genres world wide. We can name a few artists like Shpongle, Taxim Trio, Stephan Bodzin & Boris Brejcha.
When all the partying is over how do you like to chill out?
Making music is our escape from reality anytime.
Did you had plans/gigs planned and cancelled because of COVID? If so have you done any online events or interaction with your fans?
For sure COVID impact all the artists, many canceled plans. We actually released only this year staggering 13 tracks to the world 🙂 and we tried to stay connected online via Instagram.
What is fun and rewarding about what you do? And what’s not?
Fun & rewarding is receiving a simple message from complete strangers telling us how our music has changed their life. Not fun is when we are struggling to make every track out of the box and breaking our heads how to sound unique and surprising with every track.
What’s next for Y do I in 2021?
Due to COVID we are out of gigs, but since we are mostly in the studio, 2021 will be a music home festive. Hopefully will will have another album ready by the end of the year.

Create the world you want to live in.
Name one your strengths?
We are very determined.
Idea of a perfect Sunday?
With the kids on the beach or alone in the studio.
What is your own definition of happiness?
Music simply
Do you support any charities?
Yes, but we prefer to keep it a secret.
What is your favorite healthy food?
We love salads
And your favorite cheat food?
Croissant with almonds & espresso.
What would be a deal breaker on a first date?
It’s a huge problem if she doesn’t listen to electronic music.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
We plan to change the techno scene and develop it to something more free artistically and unique.
What do you think of Social Media?
We find that social media is the main platform to promote ourselves. It’s hard to blend our PR alongside with our music production, since PR is simply boring to us. But the positive part of it, is to get the amazing feedback from our followers.
