Describe yourself in 3 words?
If I had to describe myself in three words I would pick Awkward, creative, and an overthinker
How did you get started in the business?
I got started in Music by loving to listen to music. I would go see concerts of bands, buy their records and just think “I wish I could create that.” Until the pandemic hit it gave me time to let my curiosity take over and start making the music I loved to hear in my own way.
How has this changed your life?
Music became from a hobby I dwelled in once and a while to something I gravitate towards every day. It went from being a world I only opened up when I was inspired to a daily routine. My day feels incomplete unless I wrote something, even if small.
We’re sure you have been asked this a million times but how did you get into the industry?
I released my song front lawn at the end of 2020 which got placed on a big Spotify playlist. Through this, I was scouted by people affiliated deeper in the “industry.” Opportunities came which opened the doors to where I am today.
Describe your sound in 3 words?
A purposeful mess
Who influenced you and why did you choose to make music?
My biggest influence would be Radiohead. It was bands like them who were stepping out of the box with their lyrics and sound that drew me to want to achieve the same.
Tell us about your new single “You Feel Like Depression”?
My friend Liam and I wrote this song in his apartment back in April. It started on guitar and was a sad acoustic vibe. When we dived into lyrics, we felt as if the music needed to represent the anger and realization the story portrays. We brought in producer Rian Lewis to help us create those emotions. The song speeds up and slows down and is all over the place, just like me.
What’s the story behind the song?
The story behind you feels like depression tackles themes of realization and blame. In this case, someone is broken up with and blamed for it. But after time, process, and thinking they conclude that the fault for the end was not theirs and that the blame was placed on their shoulders as comfort for the break upper.
How would your best friend describe you?
My best friend and I have been friends forever. She has seen me go through so much, so I think she would say that I’m constantly changing and not afraid to do so. I like to push myself to try different things, even though it can be intimidating at times. Through music, friendships, and everything I’m still figuring myself out.
What’s next for AVIV in 2022?
In 2022 there is a lot of new music and shows coming. I won’t say too much, but a project I’ve been working on for a couple of years is close to completion, as well as a lot of live shows! Can’t wait to announce everything I have in store for this year, I will say, it’s the most exciting stuff yet.
What is your favorite healthy food?
Hmmm in my mental health is objective. I do love burgers though
How would you explain your fashion style?
I love to thrift and shop second-hand. I really enjoy finding cool vintage pieces that are from the 90s-00s.
What is your own definition of happiness?
I think I define happiness through my relationships with others. My happiness flourishes by those surrounding me and the people who lift and make me feel good.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
I would have to choose Amy Winehouse. She was so unique, funny, and talented – I would love to have a conversation with her and hear what she had to say.
Best advice ever given?
The best advice I ever received is that sometimes It’s good to let things float a bit and give yourself time and space to process. There were so many texts, words, and feelings that I would’ve regretted without giving myself the time I needed to understand what I am truly feeling.
Where do you see yourself and your career 5 years from now?
In five years, I hope that I am still making music I love and enjoying every part of it. I really enjoy playing live, so I hope that I get to do so frequently.

I wish I had an answer for this. But only picking one, the singular song would send me in a spiral.
