Describe yourself in 3 words?
Driven, Creative, Passionate
How did you get started into acting?
I pretty much was born to act, I would pretend to be different characters as a kid and put on shows since I can remember. Since the small town where I grew up didn’t have an acting studio I enrolled for every dance class possible starting at age three.
How has this changed your life?
It has changed my life in ways that are both exciting and discouraging, exhilarating yet exhausting. It has pushed me to be the best version of myself both inside and out. Both physically and mentally and most of all learning how to embrace and control my emotions all at once. It has been a challenge but I guess that’s what I love about it the most.
It has given me the freedom to be my creative self and condition it.
What is the best and worst part of being an actress?
Worst would have to be the extremely early call times.
Best, EVERYTHING!
How do you prepare for a role?
This by definition is one of my favorite parts, it’s a devoted time to learn. Not feel, just learn and absorb. Depending on the role and character, time, era etc., there may be so much to take in. Personally I love history, and I love working on Historical Dramas or films based on true stories. I also prepare by thinking about my life experiences and look for relations between my life and theirs. This usually helps to draw out similarities and emotions.
Tell us about your work on projects like “The Cab Calloway Story, “Violette,” and “Carnage?”
I created Violette but actually came up with the title after shooting it. I knew my character Violette was a double agent and was on the run. After filming I started to dig more. I wanted her to have the name of a real double agent from history. I decided to build off that idea and gave her the backstory to be the great granddaughter of the real Violette Reine Szabo (1945) a British French Special Operations Executive SOE during WW2. My character was named after her and surprisingly took on a very similar role in 2020.
Cab Calloway is also a Historical drama but this one is based on a true story. I love musical theater, dance, jazz, and so this was a dream set to work on.
What other projects have you been part of?
I have been a part of multitudes of projects, such as an Executive Producer on Checkmate, six different voice-overs characters for The USS New York Lost in the Space Star Trek Nitpickers animation show. Cartagena, Friends with Benefits, Unsafe Heist, SUV Law and Order, Blacklist, Ray Donovan, Jim Gaffigan, Elementary, The Glitch, The Wright Path and Breaking Point in Amazon Prime, This is the Night, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, as well as documentaries and many other films.
What kind of roles do you like or would like to play and why?
My favorite roles are Action, Adventure,Thriller, Historical Drama, Sci- Fi Futuristic. I also would love to do voice overs for Disney and other animations.
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
Most rewarding, watching it succeed.
What’s your advice for the newer actresses?
Don’t wait, and focus.
Take classes, make your own films early, get on big sets to learn and get your waivers, build your reel. Then get an Agent. Decide what you want your niche to be, what your skills are and target market yourself as a brand. Don’t wait for the role, create it.
Which project, film directors or actors to work with are still on your bucket list?
Guy Richie is on my list, and I love chess!
What would you say are the greatest lessons you learned so far in this business?
Same as above. Don’t wait. Create the roles you want. Network. If you treat it like a 9-5 haha more like 24/7 you will and can be successful.
How would your best friend describe you?
My friends think I’m bubbly, fun, kind, genuine
If you are a book, what would be the title of the book and why?
Great question I’ll have to circle back in the meantime, The Never Ending Story Why, because I was obsessed with this movie aka book growing up as a kid.
Now talking about Instagram, can you share some tips for keeping your account interesting?
Stop posting what everyone else is posting. It’s so boring.
If your people don’t like it, get new people. Be authentic. Be yourself. Be consistent.
You are followed by so many people. How do you feel about that pressure of always doing the right thing, and encourage people to follow their dreams?
Don’t worry about anyone else, worry about yourself. Focus on your day to day goals and take each step of opportunity as a new chance at success. Don’t change the goal, change the how, try different strategies if it’s not working. Repeat. Don’t EVER give up. Chances are the day you feel like quitting is the day a miracle will occur. Just keep going.

What advice would you give to your younger self and why?
Less party, more focus. lol
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
I would be with my Nana and Papa and showing them all the work I have accomplished because I think they would be so proud. They didn’t get to see me grow into an adult and they knew how hard it was for me growing up. I would show them my film I wrote and made in dedication to her. Margaret, and how it made it into international film festivals. They meant so much to me and I miss them everyday.
