Check out our interview with talented NYC based recording artist Paige Corwin who just released her single “Domino’s in the Rain.” (May 6th)
“Dominos in the Rain” is a nostalgic track about a rainy summer day in Central Park. Three of us were lying on the Great Lawn, extremely hungover from the night before, when we decided to order Domino’s pizza. When we went to meet the delivery man at the entrance of the park, it started to downpour. We were all hysterically laughing, while dodging rain puddles and trying to preserve our belongings, and of course, the pizza. We then stumbled upon a picnic table under some trees in the clearing, ate our Domino’s while listening to Myles Cameron and catching fireflies.

Describe yourself in 3 words?
Driven, Youthful, Passionate
How has this changed your life?
Music has changed my life in every way. From the people that I surround myself with, the ways I spend my day and the things that I think about.
We’re sure you have been asked this million times but how did you get in the industry?
I graduated from Baruch College with a major in Corporate Communications and a minor in Sociology. I then attended Columbia University for a United Nations continuing studios program. Shortly after graduating, I decided that music was, in fact, my passion and that life is too short to not follow dreams. Don’t get me wrong, I am grateful for my college degrees but there has never been a job within those fields that intrigues me. Since I was a little girl, I have loved to sing and perform. I had always known music was my passion but never thought I could make a career out of it. It wasn’t until mid 2018, I decided to just go for it! I began my music journey making YouTube covers in my bedroom then slowly transitioned into the world of originality. I started writing and recording originals, released them on all platforms, and started booking shows all around NYC.
Describe your sound in 3 words?
Vibrant, Velvety, Heartfelt
Why did you choose to make music?
I choose to make music because I have a difficulty expressing my feelings. I use songwriting as a way to express those inner feelings, it is my therapy. My music is inspired by personal experiences that are hopefully relatable to my listeners!
Do you ever get nervous?
Yes, of course. I hope I continue to get nervous because it means I am passionate about my work and I want to do well.
Tell us about your new single “Domino’s in the Rain?”
“Domino’s in the rain” is a nostalgic track based on a rainy summer day on the Great Lawn at Central Park after a crazy night out. A few of us were hungover, laying defeatedly in the grass, and decided we wanted to order Domino’s delivery to the entrance of the park. It started to downpour and it was quite amusing, watching us struggle to preserve our soaked belongings while looking for cover. Magically, we stumbled upon a picnic table in the clearing and devoured our pizza in laughter while being surrounded by fireflies. We walked away from the park that day and said to one another “Domino’s in the Rain” should be a song. So, I made it a song : )
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
When listeners can relate to my lyrics and feel the message I am trying to convey.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take!
How would your best friend describe you?
I just asked my best friend, Jacqui how she would describe me and this is her exact response: “Radiantly joyful, charismatic, bubbly, fiercely proud, confident, kind, loving, generous, independent, strong and competitive.”
She’s the sweetest (insert crying emoji)!
What’s next for Paige Corwin in 2022?
I have a bunch of shows lined up and more singles ready to be released and heard!
What is your favorite healthy food?
Chopt Salad
And your favorite cheat food?
Panda Express
Best advice ever given?
Work hard, stay humble, and be kind.
Favorite song? Why?
This is too difficult to answer. I can’t choose!
What do you think of Social Media?
I have mixed feelings about it. It is obviously a great tool to connect with family and friends and promote businesses and brands. But, I also feel like it can be detrimental to our mental health because it is so competitive and there is so much photoshopped content.
