When not working and living his dream, Nour attends one of the best schools in Orange County and plays on the basketball team. He loves traveling, learning about history, exploring cultures and cuisines, and watching his favorite series “Stranger Things.” Nour is also fluent in Arabic and has mastered a variety of accents including Lebanese, French, British and Russian.

Hi Nour, please tell us a little about you.
Hey! I’m Nour, and I’m a young actor who recently starred in the Award-Winning TV series, Ghostwriter on Apple TV +! I am also the BIGGEST basketball and music fanatic ever!
Describe yourself in 3 words.
Positive, Creative, Courageous.
How did you get started in acting?
Ever since I was young I would always love entertaining people and making them laugh, especially family and friends, and I was always encouraged to give acting a chance. So one day my mom signed me up for an acting class and I completely LOVED IT! That’s how I really knew I was serious about getting into acting.
How has this changed your life?
Acting has changed my life in so many positive ways. I’ve experienced so much and met a plethora of wonderful people and actors in the industry that changed my perspective on things, given me great advice, and impacted my life for the better. I’m always grateful for any opportunity that comes my way because in the past 7 years I’ve been an actor, I’ve learned so much and grown immensely as an actor, and a person.
What is the best and worst part of being an actor?
There really are no downsides to being an actor. However being an actor at a young age can be challenging due to all the school work behind the scenes, however, if you manage your time and stay on top of your responsibilities, you can grow from them and improve yourself.
How do you prepare for a role?
Every actor prepares for a role differently. For example, in Season 3 of Ghostwriter on Apple TV+, my character Samir has an accent, so to be able to master that accent, took me a couple of weeks. When I prepare for a scene the day before, I master the scene and lines beforehand, then adjust with the accent afterwards.
Tell us about your work in Apple TV+’s Emmy Award-winning series “Ghostwriter?”
Ghostwriter is a reimagining of the hit 90s series and is now back for a 3rd season better than ever! This season includes the same ghost from last season who haunts a neighborhood bookstore and starts releasing fictional characters from popular books and novels into the real world. A new group of friends team up to solve an exciting mystery surrounding the ghost’s unfinished business. I am so grateful to have been a part of such an amazing project with the most amazing people putting in their best effort through rain and shine to complete this season. We couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you. I would also like to give a huge shout-out to Apple for the wonderful and supportive experience they provided us throughout the process.
What other projects have you been part of?
I’ve done loads of voice acting as well. One of my favorite parts I’ve voiced for is Casagrandes on Nickelodeon. Casagrandes is a spinoff for The Loud House and I actually voiced for a character called Sameer which is a funny coincidence because the character I recently played on season 3 of Ghostwriter, is also named Samir, just spelled differently. I loved being a part of Casagrandes. Another fun project I’ve done recently was an NFL commercial for ESPN where I had to dance and “hit the Griddy” on top of a small coffee table while cheering on the NFL team on TV!
What kind of roles do you like or would like to play and why?
I’ve always wanted to play in part relating to horror or thriller, something super out of the ordinary! If you didn’t already know I am a SUPER FANATIC of basketball, so I’d be thrilled to show off my skills in a project.
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
For me, I really think the most rewarding part of my work is getting to see my performance completely perfected on the big screen and having the satisfaction and feedback of viewers complimenting me for my work and acting. Seeing my family and friends being proud of me and how far I’ve come also means the world to me.
What’s your advice for the newer actors?
Advice and feedback is always great to receive from anyone, so if could give a piece of advice to the newer actors, I would tell them to stay patient and continue to push through, give your best effort, and always be YOU! The best version of yourself is you.
How would your best friend describe you?
I actually sent a text to one of my best friends asking them how they would describe me, and they said I was “crazy, a risk taker, and a little bit impulsive.” I would agree! I would definitely qualify as a risk taker, in the real world with my friends and family and in the acting industry!
If you are a book, what would be the title of the book and why?
If I was a book, my title would be… “The Impulsive Chronicles of Nour” because of my risk-taking, but always cautious ambitions, and this book would include all my crazy moments and memories throughout my day-to-day life, and my acting journey!
What’s next for Nour Jude Assaf in the last months of 2022 and for 2023?
Right now, I’m focusing on the release of season 3 of Ghostwriter and on basketball. I’ve always dreamed of using my skills in a movie or project. I’d LOVE to be part of a drama/horror movie or project as well!
What is your favorite food?
For my favorite cuisine, I’m gonna have to go with Mediterranean or Japanese food for all the diversity and seafood they both include. I’m also originally Lebanese, so Mediterranean home food will always have a special place in my heart.
What is your own definition of happiness?
In my words, happiness is the experience of living life with joy, love, and peace of mind.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
If I could meet anyone, I would want to meet my Grandfather. The only time I’ve seen my grandpa before he passed away was when I was very young and I don’t remember much of him, however, I’ve always heard stories of how great of a person and mentor he was. He was an ethical man who was humble and loving to his family and people, educated, honest, mindful, and was very known for that in his town and was extremely successful. I’ve always wanted to sit down and have a conversation with him and ask for advice.
Best advice ever given?
No advice yet perse, however, I am so lucky and grateful to have such amazing parents to support me through my career and help me chase and achieve my dreams.
Favorite song? Why?
Choosing a favorite song is super difficult just because of all the new artists and musicians coming out with awesome work recently, but I do love R&B, rap, and old rap. Drake, Brent Faiyaz, Steve Lacy, Tupac, Frank Ocean, etc are all top favorites of mine.
What do you think of Social Media?
I think Social Media is an awesome tool everyone can use to share their personal experiences and day-to-day journeys and for the public to learn more about each other. On the other hand, social media can be troubling at times. You can’t let yourself forget that anyone in the world has access to social media, and some people may feel that since they are behind a screen, they are free to say whatever they want without any filter or consequences. Especially now, to younger people as well. I do believe that everyone should take breaks from social media from time to time when needed.
