Hi Leyla Moaser & Rich T, please tell us a little about you?
We are a travel and model couple working full-time as influencers and content creators since 2020. And are one of the most recognized couples in both UK & Sweden.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
We are creative, hard-workers, dreamers
Who has made the biggest impact on your life so far, and why?
Each other. We are from different countries and when we met, we knew we had to do something to be able to live together and survive by doing so. We both quit our jobs to start with social media, but back then we had no clue about nothing. We have come so far by trusting each other, having patience and supporting each other whilst nobody else did.
How and when did you start into traveling and as influencer?
We were traveling a lot since we met but it wasn’t until 2021 when we decided to book a trip to Cappadocia and that’s when everything changed, our content gone super viral and we had millions of people watching us, and gained over hundreds of thousands of new followers on Instagram very fast. We also got media talking about us in magazines, newspapers, radio and TV and got invited to multiple red carpets and galas, our journey to success went really fast during that year, and during this period we’ve partnered up with over 25 different brands and hotels and earned a 6 figure.
What is fun and rewarding about being an influencer? And what is not?
We are very passionate when it comes to inspiring others, so having people that appreciate what you do is everything for us. But then of course with hundreds of thousands watching us daily, we also have experienced a lot of negativities along our journey and at first it really got to us. but now we don’t pay any attention to it
Can you name a few of the brands/products you are working or have worked with?
Our recent collaborations with InterContinental hotel and Ice & Light village in Swedish Lapland were really amazing working with. Nalina Sweden is also a brand that we are working on-going.
What did you learn from your biggest failure?
To not work with brands that only inspire us, but that we see are inspiring our audience too.
The most important thing when you are shooting/creating content is?
High quality! And thinking out the box
What’s your advice for the newer influencers?
To build up their audience and not be in a rush to do so, trust in the process and not give up even when it feels like times at a standstill. Engaging back & being active is key, creating inspiring content is another. The number of followers doesn’t necessary matter anymore, it’s about the amount of engaged followers who actually sees you.
What mindsets helped making you so successful and popular?
Focusing on growth
When you started your Social Media accounts, did you expect such a success?
No none of us did, we could never imagine being where we are today, and in fact we never even knew it was possible to earn money or even having Instagram as a full-time job.
As a popular influencer you are followed by so many people. How do you feel about that pressure of doing always the right thing, and encourage people to follow their dreams?
Making sure we are good role models especially for the younger generation as we have a big impact of others decisions and want to inspire them to be on the right path
What book should every entrepreneur read?
None of us have ever read a book about this. We believe in experiencing on your own and learning from mistakes – life lessons!
What advice would you give to your younger self and why?
If we were young again, we would advise ourselves to think outside of the box and not to follow what everyone else is doing.
What would say are the greatest lessons you learned so far?
That no matter how much someone doesn’t believe in you, questioning you or making you feel bad for doing what you think best, you should always remember that we only have 1 life to live and putting time into others is not the way forward!
Which project is still on your bucket list?
Our goal is to travel to 10 different countries by the end of the year 2023.
What did you learn from your biggest failure? (If any)
It taught us about ourselves and having a grown mindset.
What’s next for Leyla Moaser & Rich T in 2023?
We are launching our own Influencer course where we will teach other influencers how to become successful too, and how to achieve high paid partnerships.
Please describe a typical day for you. What is your daily routine like?
We are working as social media managers besides creating content for our own pages; therefore, we are very busy creating content for other brands and handling their social media too.
If you are a book, what would be the title of the book and why?
The storm that took us to success. We’ve had many ups and downs during our journey to success, not everything was perfect or easy far from it!
Now talking about Instagram, can you share some tips for keeping your account interesting?
Postings story’s every day, uploading high-quality reels/posts regularly in your niche or sharing some useful tips is great too.
I bet you get millions of it, but what are the best and worst Instagram DM pickup lines you received so far?
The best ones are always when other influencers are asking us for advice, this shows us that our followers believe in us and put their trust in us. Or just sending beautiful messages and appreciating what we do. The worst of all would have to be the ghost “brands” that offer us a free product in exchange to promote them on our page only if we pay for the delivery charge. These types of messages don’t have our interest, as no Influencer should be paying for doing a job for someone else, especially doing something for free anyway (unless you really want the product. Just imagine if we were working in a restaurant 9-5, and in exchange for a monthly salary, you get a free pizza every day. that’s nonsense, right?!
What is your own definition of happiness?
Happiness is our kids, being successful when it comes to our work, each other and financial freedom, and most importantly, our health.
What is your favourite song to belt out in the car/for karaoke?
As Rich T is a music artist, most of the time were listening to his music, his success within his music has really taken off since year 2021 which is an amazing achievement for him and really makes me so proud – Leyla
Name one your strengths?
Creative
Do you support any charity?
Not at the moment, but that’s something that were looking into and are going to do in the near future. We’re willing to focus on helping children out first
Idea of a perfect Sunday?
Waking up next to each other, going for breakfast with our kids and then going home to plan the rest of the week.
What do you think of social media?
It’s the best thing that was invented as the whole world can connect with each other, on top that we’ve learnt so much (knowledge sharing) It also gives more opportunities for jobs and for people to survive. it’s completely free!
