What inspired you to take the leap and make your debut as an artist in 2020?
Growing up I told myself I’d be able to share my life and experiences with other people. When you have intuition and a gut feeling to pursue something for yourself, I believe you should follow through. With that I was able to make my debut as an artist and share the experience with so many others.
What have been some of the biggest challenges you have faced in your career thus far?
Some of the biggest challenges I’ve faced over the years is feeling lost in my career. It’s hard to start from scratch and lose sight of direction when you have so many people telling you what to do, but I wouldn’t anywhere without the support from my family.
How did you develop your sound over the years?
I never believe in having one specific sound. Music evolves and so do I. I want to be able to create and release what I find real and authentic. I’ve been able to do this over the years by making music that suits me and what people enjoy or want to hear.
How does your music reflect your identity and your journey as an artist?
What I love about being an artist is storytelling and sharing life through art. Music is something that has always kept me grounded and has always been apart of my identity. So when I create and write, I feel like the true version of myself because I’m able to express the real me and my music is able to reflect that.
What has been the most rewarding part of your music journey and what has been the most difficult?
The most rewarding part about this journey is that I’m able to work alongside so many incredible likeminded people who share the same passion, those are the people rooting for me and keep me going. The most difficult part is probably staying focused when life gets hectic and having to remember that the only opinion that matters at the end of the day is mine.
Could you tell us a bit more about your most recent single “17”?
“17” is a raw and genuine feeling of the time and point in my life where I was in love but stupid at the same time, carefree, exhilarated by the feeling of being so young with such little responsibility and yet scared for the fact that I was growing up too fast all at once.
What do you hope to achieve with your music and your career?
I truly just want to make people feel something when it comes to music. Being able to share my personal dreams with others is a real dream come true in my story and I’m so blessed to have people listen to me.
How have you seen your music evolve over the years?
My music has 100% evolved as well as who I am and my identity. I am so excited for upcoming projects that I have to share with everyone. I’ve just seen myself grow and to be able to share that with others through music is so special.
What have been some of your biggest influences as an artist?
My biggest influence as an artist is to stay true to myself but also my friends and family. They have been people who look out for me, give me inspiration, and are my biggest supporters.
What do you hope listeners will take away from your music?
I hope my listeners will take away the feeling of euphoria and honesty when listening to my music. I want people to feel happy or that they are able to express themselves when it comes to my songs. I’m extremely grateful for anyone that’s listened or continues to support what I have to say.
