Hi Mandy. Please tell us a little about you?
I’m nine years old. I love dancing, singing, and tumbling and I’m really funny.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Funny, honest, and trustworthy
Who has made the biggest impact on your life so far, and why?
My mom because she always pushes me to do new stuff and be a better person. She inspires me to help others and positively impact other people’s lives.
Who influenced you and why did you choose to make music?
Latin Superstar Ricardo Arjona because he told my mom and dad that I was going to be a superstar! As a family, we decided to start making music since then; I haven’t stopped.
What is fun and rewarding about music and performing? And what is not?
What is fun about performing is being on stage, dancing, and sharing my Talent with the audience. I love to see how people enjoy my performances.
Describe your sound in 3 words?
Upbeat, Joyful, and Catchy
Do you play any instruments?
Yes, I play Drums, Piano and would love to learn Guitar one day.
Do you ever get nervous?
Not really; I have fun doing what I love.
Tell us about your new music, “BBY ILY?”
Baby ILY is a song about your first Valentine’s at school. It’s a Pop song and is half English and half Spanish.
What’s the story behind the song?
I did my first Valentine’s song when I was seven, and I want to continue the story of that young love and feeling excited about Valentine’s Day. I like the story behind the song when you receive a note asking if you like your classmate and all your friends laugh. Interesting fact the boy in my music video was my Valentine! LOL, he gave me a Squishy the day of the video.
What’s your advice for the newer artists and influencers?
My advice is always to be yourself because there are so many artists and talented people, but there’s no one like you.Be true to yourself and you can do anything!
What mindsets helped making you so successful and popular?
I challenge myself to be my best version each time I perform, sing, or do something I like.
When you started your Social Media accounts, did you expect such a success?
Social Media is not the real world. I think Success is not about the number of followers you have. It is about challenging yourself and being better each time, each year. Of course, many people only see numbers, but I feel like hard work and dedication speaks for themselves.
As a popular artist, dancer, and influencer, you are followed by so many people. How do you feel about that pressure of always doing the right thing, and encourage people to follow their dreams?
I don’t feel pressure because I’m doing my best each time, and I don’t compare myself to others.
I have my own vision to pursue my dream. That’s why every person needs to follow their
dreams and stop comparing themselves to others.
When did you start dancing?
I started dancing at my sister’s dance studio when I was two years old.
Did you take dancing classes?
Yes, I still take tons of dance classes! I love Hip-hop and Contemporary.
Any advice for aspiring dancers?
Yes! Take classes to learn some techniques and choose the style you like the most. If you want to feel the music, go for it.
What do you love most about dancing?
I love to have fun with my friends and teachers and learn new movements, and I love
music.
What type of dance do you like best?
Hip-hop is my favorite.
Which project is still on your bucket list?
I have so many projects on my bucket list, but the first is making my first album.
What did you learn from your biggest failure? (If any)
I learned to keep going no matter what; I have made mistakes dancing on stage, you learn from making mistakes, and those things just make me stronger.
What’s next for Mandy Corrente in 2023?
Lots of music; I’m excited to release some songs I made with Poo Bear. He’s the best
producer I know, and I am humbled to be able to work with him.
