What did you get up to in your recent visit to LA?
Short answer is a lot! I spent just over a month in LA getting up to all things entertainment. I signed with MSA agency, so I am super excited to see what the future holds working with them!
I attended the Outerbanks s3 world premiere at the legendary regency theatres which was something cool & fun that I really enjoyed!
Who are some big names you have been able to work with?
I Recently played Zyg the tunnel blaster goblin in the Jim Henson film ‘The Portable Door’ where I got to work with Sam Neil, (Jurassic Park) Christoph Waltz, (Oscar winner & Django) Miranda Otto (Sabrina the witch Hunter) and Sophie Wilde (Talk to me). All incredibly talented and so fun to be around!
What were some highlights from your time on Stan/MGM+ film ‘The Portable Door’?
The traits my character had led to so many onset highlights. Playing the role of Zyg the tunnel blaster goblin meant getting up to all kinds of mischief like dancing. Being able to dance on set in this heavy prosthetics role was challenging but so fun. I loved how movement orientated it was.
You have played lead roles in many musicals. Can you tell us what your favourite roles have been?
I started off doing a lot of theatre. My first lead role in a musical being The scarecrow in ‘The Wiz’. I was only 14 and I had the time of my life. Since then I’ve played Moonface Martin in ‘Anything Goes’ & Boq in ‘Wicked’. I love when I get to dance, act & sing all together. It’s like one big challenge to be at expert level in all 3 fields. For me I could never let myself half invest in a role. If I was going out on that stage, it was to be the best possible dancer/actor/singer I could be.
Where do you see yourself in the coming years?
My goal signing with MSA is to work as a dancer/performer in LA. I’d love to at some point be backup dancing for an artist or dance at awards shows. I also want to act in movies and series.
Can you name directors & actors/actresses you would love to work with?
My dream directors to work with are Tim burton, Francis Lawrence and Jon watts. I’d love to be on a set with Jennifer Lawrence.
