I grew up in Northern California. I have two sisters and a brother. I’ve got a wife, a dog, and a healthy obsession with boba tea. I’ve been doing martial arts for about 25 years and I own a photo marketing company called, The Booth & Bus Co.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Energetic, Driven and Fun.
Who was your role model as a child?
Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and the Power Rangers 🙂
How’s a typical day in your life?
This is an insanely hard question to answer. No two days are alike for me. Some days I’m running from session to session, others I’m stuck in my home office working and then there’s the days I’m off on some random adventure because a friend asked me to hang out. I love it! Things are constantly changing.
How did you get started in the industry?
My parents put me in an acting class when I was 16. About two months later, I booked my first professional job and the rest is history.
Who has made the biggest impact on your life so far, and why?
My family has always been supportive of me, so I’d definitely say my parents and my siblings. My Kung Fu teacher, Master Yi Shi, has also been a mentor and friend as well.
How do you prepare for a role?
It really depends on the part, but I’m a huge proponent of living life to the fullest outside of acting. Then when I get a role, I have a wide net of experience to draw from. Living makes acting easier.
How did you find out about “Star vs. the Forces of Evil”, and tell us about your experience as the voice of Marco Diaz?
I found out about it like any other audition! I never would have guessed it would be such a huge part of my life. The show is amazing and I get to work with the best people in the industry.
Now tell us about the original animated series “The LeBrons?”
The Lebrons was born out of the mind of Lebron James who wanted to create a series to teach kids valuable life lessons. It was a lot of fun to work on!
What is next for Adam McArthur?
A new season of Star Vs. The Forces of Evil is being recorded right now! New episodes coming soon!
Who is your favorite Actor/Actress? And why?
I love Jack Black and Claire Danes. I know they’re so different! Jack Black makes everything so so funny. He seems like such a great person off-screen too. Claire Danes plays the lead on Showtime’s Homeland. I have never seen someone with the range and honesty she has. It’s a huge inspiration.
Any advice for new young actors?
Persevere! You have to just keep working hard and stick with it. Don’t get distracted!

And your favorite cheat food?
Ramen!

The dream vacation would actually be to be a contestant on The Amazing Race! Don’t ask me to pick a partner (I have like 5 people vying for the spot haha)
What do you do in your free time?
What’s that?
What do you like to watch on TV?
I love Homeland, My Hero Academia, The Challenge, Shark Tank, and Shameless.
What do you think of social media in the entertainment business?
I think it’s great! It’s a necessary marketing tool. It’s a great way to connect directly with the fans and interact with the people who enjoy what I do.
