Independent, Silly, Indecisive
We’re sure you have been asked this million times, but how did you get in the industry?
I’ve always wanted to do music ever since I was 8, but of course when I got my start on Vine, I was constantly making comedy videos. This really helped me get my foot in the door and meet people who support every thing that I do. So after all the support I was getting, I decided to switch to music because that was my real dream.
What is your musical background?
I’ve been singing ever since I was 8 years old. My aunt sings, and my sister and father both played musical instruments — when I was old enough I started to play the flute in school which helped me be able to read music.
Do you play any instruments?
The flute!
Tell us about your newest single “Disease?”
My song Disease was inspired by a rough relationship I was in a couple years ago. We weren’t calling it a relationship, even though we did everything people in a relationship would do. It was just really toxic for me, kind of like a disease.[/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUANYeMaw6Y” title=”Alli Fitz – Disease”][vc_column_text]Do you ever get nervous when you perform?
The moment before I go on stage I get nervous/anxious because I don’t like playing the waiting game. I’m always ready to just get out there and SIIING!
What inspires you to make new music?
Things that happen in my real life, whether its relationship drama, family issues, friendship, everything.
What’s the best and hardest part of being a musician?
I would say opening up and revealing your true emotions through the lyrics to a song. And also finding the right lyrics to use to interpret what you’re feeling at that moment.
Who else in your family sings?
My Aunt sings! But she’s shy haha.
What is your own definition of happiness?
Doing what you love for the rest of your life.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
I would want to meet Camila Cabello because she’s killing the game right now, I want to ask her “How did you do it?!” Because I would love to have the same type of career. She is incredible.
Which project is still on your bucket list?
To go on tour! IT WILL HAPPEN.
Best advice ever given?
In a world full of “No” keep looking for that “Yes”
Do you have a role model?
Yes! MY MOM! She’s the best and taught me how to be the strongest woman.
What is you favorite song? And why?
Right now my favorite song is “Wheels” By Moxie Raia, because it sounds so 90’s and the beat is sick.
Any future plans you want to share with us?
I’m working on an album as we speak and I can’t wait to share it!
What is your next goal as a musician?
To put out my debut album.
Any loves, other then music?
I love dancing, and acting too! I went to school for theatre.
Name 3 things you can’t live without.
My Cellphone (sigh, I know), Burritos, My family.
Name one of your strengths.
I work well under pressure (most of the time, ha!)
Idea of a perfect Sunday?
Chilling on the couch with tea while watching psychological thriller movies.
Do you support any charities?
Yes, “No Kid Hungry” is very important to me.
What do you think of Social Media as you are a huge influencer in this category?
I love how it makes it easier to connect with people, but every now and then everyone should take a social media break (even if it’s just for a day!)
