She then goes on to say, “As it turns out those I was seeking to save ended up rescuing me.” McCord later states: “Our first annual Beyond the Veil Masquerade Ball was mysterious and full entertaining with the privacy of the top floor of the gorgeous Angeleno Hotel. With a big thank you to Annie Wonderlich and RanMakr, we had an exciting and alluring night as we raised support for Together1Heart. We all wear masks, sometimes it’s good to remember that putting them on and taking them off is a choice not all of us are free to exercise.” The event came full circle when everyone was asked to not take off the masks they were wearing that night, but the invisible masks worn everyday by people who have suffered from abuse.
