Natalia Barulich is a model who has been seen on the covers of Maxim South Africa, Esquire Malaysia, FHM Thailand, L’Officiel Magazine and more. Currently she is one of the faces of GUESS, starring in gorgeous print ad campaigns for the brand.
Esther Anaya is a Colombian-born, classically trained violinist and dynamic performer who’s been called to share the stage with Kanye West, Rihanna, & Latin crooner Cristian Castro. She is a DJ, music producer & songwriter & recently had her own sold out concert at the renowned Ford Amphitheater in Los Angeles, CA.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”3955″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]Hi Esther and Natalia please tell us a little about you.
Hey guys! We are two Latina musicians/DJ’s who are extremely passionate about our craft. We take the dance floor to the next level by incorporating live violin and vocals during our set. We live in Los Angeles and New York, and travel around the world performing in between making our own original music, which will be released this summer 2017.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Esther: Loyal, Charismatic, Compassionate
Natalia: Passionate, Hardworking, Loving
When and why did you start playing?
Natalia: I started DJing a couple years ago for fun. I grew up singing and writing ever since I was in middle school.
Esther: I was born in a musical environment and inspired by my father to pursue music. At the age of seven, I already knew my passion was going to be my career. Ever since then, the violin became my boyfriend and music, became my life.
Name one your strengths?
Esther: I’m very disciplined, and when I want to accomplish something I focus and make it happen.
Natalia: I would say I’m great in business and closing deals. I know what I want and I get it done.
Who is your music influence?
Natalia: Sia. She’s an incredible writer and vocalist- I admire her work & career very much.
Esther: Mozart. His classical pieces are fun and youthful. & Shakira, my fellow Colombiana, who is an inspiring crossover artist from the Latin to American Music industry.
What do you usually start with when preparing a set?
Natalia & Esther: We pre select tons of music fitting the venue we are playing. We play open format, so we have a variety of house, hip hop, trap, top 40, EDM etc.

Esther & Natalia: Upbeat, Sophisticated, Emotional

Describe me your feelings when you play music?
Esther & Natalia: We feed off people’s energy and feel a rush of adrenaline when playing for the crowd in front of us. It feels like home & sharing the gift of music with our audience is the best high there is.
The best and worst thing of your job?
Natalia: The best thing about our job is to feel the reaction of our crowd when we deliver. It’s incredible to connect with people through the music and feel their energy.
Esther: The worst thing about our job is unexpected technical difficulties. Anything could go wrong at any time, so we always have to be 100% on it.
If you could choose one artist to work with in the future, who would it be and why?
Natalia & Esther: Drake! We love his music, vibe & style. He’s always coming out with sick new music & he definitely knows how to keep up with this industry.
How is working with Randy Jackson?
Natalia & Esther: We love Randy so much! He is like our dad, but with a young, open mind who just gets us. He’s always cheering us on & pushing us to get to the next level. We are extremely grateful for him & his support.
3 things you can’t live without?
Esther: God, family, and my Violin
Natalia: God, family, and sushi
Any loves, other then music?
Natalia & Esther: We have no time for love, and that is the name of our first single we are dropping lol.
The only exceptions are-
Esther: Giraffes, adventures, and giving back to the community
Natalia: Travel, food, & connecting with people.
Any advice for a new female talent artist?
Natalia & Esther: Prioritize your passion and get rid of anything that’s holding you back from your dreams.
Best advice ever given?
Natalia: Fortune favors the prepared.
Esther: Psalm 37:5. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this.
Where do you live currently?
Natalia & Esther: We are bicoastal. We live in Los Angeles and NYC.
What’s the best event you’ve played at?
Natalia & Esther: Just recently we played at Surrender Las Vegas in the Wynn. This is such a highlight in our career so far, as it’s such an accomplishment to be associated with the Wynn family. They are extremely supportive and welcoming. We can’t wait for our next show with them.
What do you do in your spare time?
Natalia & Esther: We spend time with our loved ones, eat our favorite foods, and then kill ourselves in the gym to burn it all off! We love to always have fun and enjoy life to it’s fullest.
What is your favorite healthy food?
Esther: Salmon sashimi.
Natalia: Watermelon.
And your favorite cheat food?
Esther: I love hot dogs lol.
Natalia: I love penne pasta with vodka sauce.
Who is your biggest beauty inspiration?
Natalia: I would say Mother Theresa. I LOVE her, and she is the most beautiful woman in my eyes for her loving help and kindness to people.
Esther: Shakira. She is a natural beauty inside and out, who doesn’t seem to age, and her hips don’t lie.
What is your own definition of happiness?
Natalia: Completely loving myself and being comfortable on my own is how I have found my inner happiness.
Esther: Happiness is a state of mind. I am the most happy when I accept my reality, and I’m extremely appreciative of all the good things around me.
How would you describe your fashion style?
Esther: Mine is a little confusing. I have my days. Sometimes I like to be more classy, sophisticated and sexy & other days, I don’t want to be any of those. I turn into a total tomboy in no makeup, hair up and sweats.
Natalia: I like to be glam, sexy & elegant. Like Esther, there are days when I just don’t give a ____. haha! Those days are usually when we are working for 24 hours straight.
Who are some of your favorite models and designers, and why?
Natalia & Esther: We have very similar taste. We love Chanel, Cartier, & anything from Intermix! For models, we admire Taylor Hill because she looks like a literal angel, Adriana Lima for being the hottest mom in the world, & Tyra Banks for always empowering other women & dominating the modeling industry with such an amazing attitude.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Natalia: Aphrodite. She is the goddess of love, beauty & desire. Many people have nicknamed me after the Goddess, so I would love to meet her and get to the bottom of why they say that haha.
Esther: The composer & best violinist ever, Paganini, so he could take me on a hardcore bootcamp & teach me all the 24 Caprice’s he composed.
What is the stupidest thing you’ve ever done?
Natalia: No regrets! I love everything I have ever done because it has brought me to where I am today. In my opinion, no choices are stupid, if anything just a lesson learnt.
Esther: Chased an ex boyfriend on the freeway in the opposite lane. What was I thinking, I could have been killed! Smh.
And which project is still on your bucket list?
Natalia & Esther: We would love to perform at the VS Fashion Show one year coming up.
Five years from now you will be….
Natalia & Esther: Having won a grammy, or two. Successful artists/ DJ’s with hits on the radio who have toured the world!
We both would like a family or at least a significant other besides a dog by then as well.
Your idea of a perfect Sunday is…?
Natalia: Sleeping in!! & then having an amazing brunch, hike, & pamper myself in the spa or with a loved one. We don’t get much down time, so whenever I have the luxury of having a day off, I use it to my full advantage.
Esther: With a loved one or family, waking up early, going on an adventure with a nice brunch by the beach, a little shopping and a romantic movie/wine and night in.
Do you support any charities?
Esther: I support a church back home in Colombia, benefitting under privileged kids in need.
Natalia: I support homeless people I see out. It breaks my heart to see someone on the street in dyer need, so I always try to lend a hand of support whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Any news you want to share with us?
Natalia & Esther: We are currently on our way to Marrakech, Morocco shooting the new video for Red One & French Montana. We will be playing over there as well, and directly after performing in Amsterdam for our biggest crowd to date of 8,000 people! We are beyond excited for all of these opportunities that keep popping up. The best is yet to come.

Natalia & Esther: We love social media! It has helped us a lot and brought the attention of many influential people in our career. We don’t use it to compare ourselves to others, more so to promote and share our work with the world & connect with other industry people.

Natalia: La La Land! My favorite current movie of all time. I really connected with the film and Emma Stone’s character she played. I felt like I was watching a snippet of my own life.
Esther: The Shawshank Redemption. I love this movie because it shows that persistence and patience are two key factors for success.
Travel Destination:
Natalia: Maldives. But I’m saving that location for when I find the right lover. It looks incredibly beautiful and the perfect place to get lost and relax with someone special.
Esther: Kenya to see the giraffe manor! I would love to go there with a significant other and feed the giraffes.
Sport Team:
Natalia & Esther: Lakers! We are always going to the games supporting our LA boys!
Celebrity Crush:
Natalia: Maluma. He is gorgeous, so sweet & the most down to earth guy I have met.
Esther: Ryan Gosling. He just has those tear drop eyes that make you fall in love with one look.
Drink:
Natalia: Mexican Mule. It’s like a Moscow Mule except with Tequila! & always gets me feeling fiiine.
