Hi Britt, please tell us a little about you!
I was 5 years old when I started performing on stage in Seattle. Oliver was my first musical & I was hooked! In 2007, we moved to LA to pursue my acting/singing career.
What is your musical background? Do you have a musical family?
My mom has a background in musical theater and my uncle Duane Flatmo is an artist, but also a musician & singer. A lot of my family, relatives are musicians, singers, writers & artists.
Do you ever get nervous?
I get nervous when preparing for a performance, but once I get up on stage the excitement & energy from the audience takes over. I love performing!
If you could go open up for any artist on tour right now who would it be?
If I could open up for someone who’s on tour right now, it would be Justin Bieber, Sam Smith, Ariana Grande or Tori Kelly. It’s hard to name just one

Do you have or had acting classes?
I take acting classes at West End Studios & workshops at Actors Link & ATLA.
How did you get started in the industry?
I have been singing since the age of 3. I was not able to follow in my older brother & sister’s footsteps and take soccer, so when I was 5 my mom asked me if I wanted to perform on stage in community theater, I said YES!!
Who has made the biggest impact on your life so far, and why?
I know this probably sounds cliché, but it would be my mom. She has been there for me & supported me through all these years. She understands my passion for music/acting. She gets me. She’s my best friend.
Which role has been the most challenging and which one your favorite?
They’re haven’t been any roles so far that have been challenging. My favorite role was playing the role of “Amy” in “Life as We Know it”
What is the best and worst part of being an actor?
I would say the best part is playing different characters in TV/Film. I love being on set & working with creative people. I have worked with & met some fantastic people. I also love being on location and travelling. The toughest part about being an actor is rejection. I have learned to just do my best and when I leave an audition or producers session, I don’t stress about it because it’s out of my control.
Best advice ever given?
I’m not sure if this is the best advise ever given, but it’s the only one I can think of right now. While filming in Atlanta, Josh Duhamel said to me, “Britt find time to have fun and don’t get too serious” I thought that was great advice, especially in the entertainment industry.
