Check our exclusive interview with dead gorgeous nurse, mother, yogini and Bravo’s Tv “Real Housewives of Dallas” star Cary Deuber.
Her most recent and important role is her household as a mom to her baby daughter, two step-children, and three dogs. Finding balance has always been her motto, as Cary is an avid practitioner of yoga, and spends her downtime meditating and finding time to do her yoga routines wherever she can place her mat and let go of all her stress. Her philanthropic causes are many including the Junior League of Dallas, Suicide and Crisis Center, Trinity River Mission, Turtle Creek Recovery Center and Texas Ballet Theatre. Known for her Type A personality, Cary has a refreshing, dry sense of humor with an air of confidence and a heart of gold that shines in all the work she does in her community and giving back to those less fortunate.

Hi Cary please tell us a little about yourself?
Originally from the East Coast, I have spent most of my life in Texas. I live in Preston Hollow with my husband, Mark Deuber, MD, our sweet 3 year old daughter Zuri and my two wonderful step kids. In addition to being a mom and wife, I am a certified registered nurse first assistant (CRNFA), dedicated yogi, philanthropist, travel guru and animal lover (and caregiver to our furry kids, Lily, Daisy and Izzy).
Where did you grow up?
I was born in Hartford, Connecticut and moved to Michigan briefly then back to Connecticut then Ohio. I lived in Toledo, Ohio until 1st grade then moved to Dayton, Ohio until High School when I moved to Texas. I went to Baylor University.
How’s a typical day in your life?
Crazy! I get up usually when Zuri yells “mommy, come get me”. I get her ready and feed her and the dogs. I go to yoga then straight to surgery or the office. Today I am operating with Mark! After work, I pick my step daughter up from school, chill with her and Zuri and have a family dinner which usually Mark cooks. Get everyone ready for bed, give baby a bath, read books, see if Lara needs help with homework then go crawl into bed with my hubby:)
How did you get selected for the show?
It was very organic. They just found me through a friend. I didn’t really think it was going to happen. I just kind of went along with it and here I am!
How is your relationship with the other cast members?
Stephanie and I talk pretty much every day and have become very close. Brandi and I talk once a week and have formed a great relationship as well. Tiffany and I had coffee last week and I have really enjoyed getting to know her. I see LeeAnne every once in a while at parties. I am always friendly.
Do you guys have a script on what to do or say?
No script. They are watching us in our lives. What we say is what we would say whether there are cameras there or not…
Can you share something funny that’s happened to you while filming?
I had a complete panic attack meltdown the first night of filming… It’s funny now… It wasn’t then!
Any advice to other people thinking on sharing their lives on TV?
Hold on! It is a roller coaster with many highs and lows. One day you are on top of the world, then next you are at the bottom of the ocean.
What we can expect for this season of “Real Housewives of Dallas”?
You will see us at parties, at each other’s homes, and we do take a little getaway. There is definitely drama but lots of friendships built as well too.
Who are your favorite designers?
Brunello Cucinelli, Roberto Cavalli, Alexander McQueen, Herve Leger and YSL for heels.
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 year?
I have no idea! Five years ago I would have never thought I would be sitting here writing this article. That is the fun thing about life, you never know where it will take you!
What was the last book you read?
The Goldfinch
What would be the dream holiday, and who would you go with?
Mark and I are world travelers but have not yet made it to the Philippines. I would love to go there with Mark and stay at Amanpulo.
What are your hobbies?
Yoga is my main hobby. I also love hiking and walking outdoors. I love being outside!
How do you stay fit?
Yoga, walking and occasionally, weight lifting.
What do you do in your free time?
Hang out with my kids and hubby. We are basically together all the time but it is so nice to all cuddle up on the couch together and watch a movie with the kids.
Who is your celebrity crush?
Angelina Jolie
What do you like to watch on Tv?
House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, Inside Amy Schumer, RHOD
Do you support any charities?
I support many charities. I am in the Junior League of Dallas and have been for 10 years. I love working with the League because they offer so much support to the Dallas community.
What do you think of Social Media?
I think it is a fun way to keep up with friends and see pictures of kids and dogs but it is a huge time suck.
