Colleen Shannon was born and raised in Alaska and currently resides in California. She is an experienced DJ, musician, singer, actress and model. Whether you’re enjoying an album, the radio, a movie, or a magazine, odds are you have heard or seen Colleen.
Colleen is currently writing and producing her third album scheduled for release in 2015. New singles featuring Colleen’s talents have already been released including the songs “I’ll be Waiting” and “Break Free”, available on iTunes, YouTube and SoundCloud. “Break Free” is a collaboration between Colleen & Glasses Boys featuring vocals by Cara, a beautiful songstress from South Africa. A rough patch in Colleen’s life back in 2012 inspired her to write these tracks and produce her album. Colleen is thankful for the challenges and the opportunities it has created in strengthening her character.
Outside the DJ booth, Colleen spends significant time working in front of camera lenses. Dubbed “The Worlds Sexiest DJ” Colleen was the centerfold playmate in Playboy’s 50th anniversary issue and was named one of Zoo Magazines 100 sexiest women. She was featured on the cover of major magazines; include Elle, FHM and Maxim. She posed for world famous photographer Bruce Weber for Barneys New York Fall 2014 Campaign. He is known for his work with Calvin Klein and Abercrombie and Fitch. Also, she was recently selected to be the face of the popular bottled drink, “138 Water”. “138 Water” is the world’s first fashion water that is best suited for a healthy body.
Colleen looks forward to the future. Creating music, performing at live events, starring in television shows and movies, appearing on billboards, and helping musicians grow their careers are what you can expect to see from Colleen. She will continue to devote time to the world DJ Foundation, making the world a better place for children. I am obsessed with Art and success. I am a hard worker although I have been through some hard times. I am really looking forward to the future.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Three words to describe me…. Creative…..Light…..funny.
Who has been the biggest influence on your life?
The biggest influence in my life is my Mother. When I have moments of doubt she has always believed in me. For this I feel like I can take the world on.
How and when did you start into modeling?
I started modeling at 15 but then I spotted by my manager at a movie audition and he put me in front of professional photographer and changed my life. Playboy, Maxim, Elle , Vanity Fair FHM etc.

What is the biggest highlight of your career?
The biggest highlight of my career has yet to come! Although last year I met fashion photographer Bruce Weber who shot me for a Barneys New York Campain and made me the happiest girl in the world.
Last year I traveled the world with an amazing photographer David Drebin being his muse… We went to Tokyo…Palm Springs and many other places creating a project called Showtime. (pics above)
What is the best part of life as a DJ?
I am so thankful I have been able to make a living from Djing… The part I love most is traveling the world and meeting wonderful people from Africa to France to China. I love the people and the music.
Do you have any music influence?
Musically I am influenced by the best… I love Tiesto and Paul Oakenfold and people that have made Art their life.
Explain your sound in 3 words?
My sound is energetic….sexy and fun.
What does it feel like when you are up on stage?
When I am on stage I feel the people and focus on their vibe… I was nervous in the beginning but then I figured it wasn’t about me it was all about the crowd and making sure they were enjoying themselves.
Are there any other artists you would love to collaborate with or remix?
I wish to keep it a surprise of whom I will be collaborating with in the future.
What is the best city that you have traveled to as a tourist/working?
My fave place is St. Tropez….. I always extend my stay because I am having so much fun!!! VIP Room and the sister club in Paris!! Shout out to Jean Roch
What makes you decide to play a particular record during one of your sets?
I never play the same set twice… My intuition tells me what to play and every place is different.
Funniest thing that ever happened at an event?
The funniest thing… well nothing funny but some sexy things have happen….
What are your plans for 2016?
2016 will be full of surprises. Im just going to follow my heart..make some tracks and travel the world!
Who is your biggest beauty inspiration?
My beauty inspiration is Marilyn Monroe.
Who are some of your favorite models and designers, and why?
My have model is Nina from Sports Illustrated…. She is healthy fit and happy.
What are your makeup bag staples when traveling?
Make up bag essentials are lip gloss, powder and blush. Love spell body spray by Victoria’s Secret and hand lotion.
What music we can find in your iPod?
I have EVERYTHING in my iPod but I listen to my mixes quite a bit Summer of the Goddess is quite nice. It can be found on sound cloud.
What is your favorite healthy food?
My have healthy food is strawberries and blueberries.
And your favorite cheat food?
Fave cheat food is a cheeseburger! In & Out
What is your best body part?
My best body part is my mind…..well and my heart… Can I have two?

Do you support any charity?
I support all charities. I am starting World Dj Foundation that does charity all over the world.
3 things you can’t leave home without?
I don’t leave home without…my phone, lip gloss and a good attitude.
