All you have to do is choose your favorite product category and you’ll be shown the available patterns for the product of your choice.
You then apply different patterns choose to purchase ‘as is’ or modify the colors of the pattern for a custom designer look. You can be as creative as you wish.
Kristin and the talented team at Qtee.com have developed an impressive streamline process, by prepping, printing, and they actually hand finish each and every product before it’s shipped off to the customer.
“We’re flexible enough to adapt to a new opportunities and product lines as they come along,” says Swanson. “Bags and underwear, for example, are two of our newer product offerings. Because our platform is so robust, we were able to quickly get these lines on our site and begin selling to our customers.”

Can you share with our readers how you conceptualized Qtee.com?
Well, I’ve always had a passion for design and technology, and I was looking for something that would combine the two worlds.
The ideas for QTee itself – fashion, customization, the ability to present new ideas quickly – grew out of conversations I had with my father. We ended up taking the same proprietary tech base used at his company, Lamps Plus, and modifying, adapting and tweaking the code to work in the world of fashion and fashion customization.
For me, QTee is the perfect place to be – it’s a great marriage between technology and fashion!
What is your background?
I worked at all kinds of retail jobs prior to college, everything from store clerk to display, you name it. Post college I did several internships and worked in the action sports industry. That sounds like it’s a long way from fashion, but you might be surprised!
How long have you been in business?
We just passed our first birthday! I’m proud to say that QTee has been in business now for 1 year and 4 months.
Can you explain how the customization works?
We think our customization process is straightforward and easy to use. Customers select a main product category: shoes, apparel and so on. We showcase each of the available patterns on the product. Click a pattern, then purchase as is or change the colors in the pattern to create a custom look. We show popular color combos at the bottom of the page for more inspiration. It’s all built to be intuitive and easy to play with and manipulate.
At this point we move from the digital process into the real world. Using our exclusive and proprietary printing process, we carefully prep, print and hand finish each product at our Los Angeles headquarters, and then it’s off to the customer!
Can you share examples of what can be customized?
Currently we have over 16 styles of t-shirts, plus classic sneaker shoes, sweatshirts, trucker hats, snapback hats, sweatpants, underwear, tote bags and more!
What are the most popular items?
Our shoes and tees are our most popular items that customers can customize. Design wise, our most popular design to date is our “Oh Donut Even” graphic – everyone loves a donut, even on a shirt.
How are you different from your competition?
Any Web company these days is at its core a technology company. So we think it’s our technology that differentiates us from our competitors. You can fully customize the patterns on all of our apparel, accessories, shoes and more to create 1,000’s of unique products. It’s a fun, easy-to-use interface. We like to think of ourselves as the Nike ID of the fashion world!
And the “more” part we mentioned above is really important. We’re flexible enough to adapt to a new opportunities and product lines as they come along. We have a lot of exciting collaborations coming up this summer and we also have exciting new products we are currently developing.
