Hi Chris, thanks for the interview.
How did it all start for you, music-wise?
Many years ago I used to be on Radio1 on the UK and I was always producing on the background, so it kinda progress from there. The production was always kinda bubbling there in the background.
Explain your sound in 3 words?
That’s easy. Eagles & Butterflies
What does it feel like when you are up on stage?
Its amazing, I mean supporting John Digweed is great, its always a pleasure because John is a legend, Im doing this Bedrock with him in the Uk, Miami and this BPM Festival.
Where does your love for music come from?
It probably starts from my mom, my mom was actually a massive rock fan, so I used to get drag to the concerts like Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, all those kinda guys and that how it started. And in the electronic scene from the whole Daft Punk and the french stuff, and thats the influence to what Im doing now.
Which artists and styles inspired and influenced you?
When I was first producing it was Daft Punk, Dj Falcon, all the french stuff.
What is the best part of life as a DJ?
I will say playing your own music, for me its playing the tracks I made as a producer and see the crowd response, that its perfect for me.
Your top 3 festivals?
I played at Storyland in Colombia and it was great. But for me its more seeing the live bands so has to be Coachella & Glastonbury type of festivals.
How do you see the future for the dance music scene?
Its tricky, because there is a lot of underground artists that have the problem with the EDM music, but for me the whole point of making music is to make people smile and dance, thats why I make music.
What do you think makes The BPM Festival so popular?
I think its basically the mixing of different people, different music. The main thing is that is all underground, so wherever you like John Digweed, or Marco Carola or Dixon, everyone is here for a the same kind of reason. The people here is so lightminded, but I think this is very underground so thats what I think is great.
What’s your motto or the advice you live by?
Simple, if you wake up with a smile on your face, you succeeded. For me I don’t make music for money or to be successful, I do music because I love making music. Doesn’t matter what you do, but do it with passion.
Any loves, other then music?
Food. 🙂 Honestly I’m with the idea that you don’t need material things to make you happy. Making music and making the people around me happy, thats what works for me.
Any future plans you want to share with us?
I have so much music coming out this year I don’t know where to start. Follow my channels and you will know more about it.
How important is Social Media for you?
Social Media is a tricky one for me because its something you have to do now to get your music across, but for me that should not be necessary to be relevant, but I will never post something that does not has to be about my music just to get likes.
