Nicole Kidman loves it, and so do we!
You’ve likely heard Vegamour touted as the gold standard for hair growth. Does it deliver on its promises, though? I’m about to share my objective review of Vegamour Gro Serum. Please decide for yourself whether it’s worth giving it a go and shelling out the cash. So, stay tuned for more!
I’m sure you have read a lot of Vegamour reviews by now! Yet, I present my humble views on the product because how can I now? Before jumping on with my review, let’s understand the cycle of hair growth and loss.
The Hair Growth Saga
Each hair has three phases of growth before it sheds. During shedding, the aging hair falls off, and new hair begins to evolve. It’s typical to lose about 100 strands a day during this time, which can last up to 5 months.
Thinning hair, receding hairlines, or complete baldness can occur from abnormally high hair loss rates. Hereditary factors, hormonal shifts, age, stress, medical disorders, and insufficient nutrition are among the several causes of hair loss. Additional factors that might lead to hair loss and breaking include using heat styling equipment or certain hair products.
My Journey With Hairfall
I’ve got really thin hair, and there’s not much of it. My hair was a big part of why I started experimenting with haircare products in the first place!
College life was all fun; I never bothered about how my hair looked and why my hairbrush was full of fallen heroes. But, it all came down hard when I started working. I really wanted to grow my hair past my shoulders. It bothered me that I couldn’t seem to achieve both long hair and a good look because my hair was so fine.
I tried everything the glamorous world of beauty had to offer, but to no avail. After some searching, I found out about non-toxic hair care, and from there, everything changed! Once I got rid of all the products with, you know, ‘safe’ ingredients from my shower routine, my hair rejuvenated!
I came across Vegamour while scavenging the web and hearing about it from different influencers who’ve praised the products. What caught my attention is that they use sustainably reaped natural and organic plant extracts, are cruelty-free (I’m an eco-warrior, so), and have secure vegan formulas.
I began using Vegamour GRO Hair Serum in late August, and now it’s February, and I’m sharing my thoughts. To give it a fair shot, I kept up with my regular lifestyle, hair care routine, diet, and usage of supplements, as all of these factors can also impact hair growth.
My Feedback Post Using the Vegamour GRO Hair Serum
I was on the hunt for a chemical-free alternative that actually works, and I’m glad I discovered it with Vegamour. Another plus for me is that the GRO Hair Serum isn’t greasy or heavy and doesn’t make my hair feel weighed down.
I focused on applying the GRO Hair Serum, mainly around my crown and temples, where I noticed the most thinning and expected to see the most noticeable results.
After using Vegamour GRO Hair Serum consistently for five months, I’ve seen a lot of hair growth and increased density. And those baby hairs are unstoppable!
My hair’s growing faster than ever, and I’m noticing some new growth along my hairline (happy sobbing).
I’ve also observed my hair feeling thicker and fuller. It’s such a noticeable change that both my hairstylist and mother have commented on it! And for once in my life, I’m not shedding as much as my Persian cat.
What Is Vegamour GRO Serum?
So, what precisely is this serum, and how does it do what it does? Well, it’s a plant-derived serum packed with goodness like caffeine, bergamot oil, turmeric, and biotin. They say this formula works wonders by promoting a healthy environment for your hair follicles to thrive. You can find more info and buy it as a single purchase or set up a subscription on the website.
How To Use the Vegamour GRO Hair Serum
An easy way to use GRO Hair Serum is to take a full dropper, spread it over your scalp (pay specific attention to thinning areas), and rub it into my dry hair. If the thought of a dense facial serum with the term “serum” makes you nervous, relax; this one has the consistency of a liquid rather than an oil.
On my initial attempt, I felt a little tingle; following applications, I hardly realized it was there. Using it has not had any adverse consequences for me.
I want you to know that strong oils or creams tend to weigh down my delicate hair. Every three to four days, I give my hair a wash and condition, and I only sometimes use heated equipment for style. Every nine to ten weeks, my hairdresser dyes my roots, and every couple of months, I trim the ends. The only big problem I’ve experienced with my hair is the thinning out. I was able to go about my day as normal after using the hair serum.
What is Vegamour Made of?
Vegamour’s vegan hair treatments are free from parabens, steering clear of the harmful effects that often come with chemically loaded products.
On the other hand, Vegamour’s Gro Serum is loaded with vitamins, proteins, immunity boosters, and inflammation reducers, and it doesn’t cause any negative reactions. These bio-active elements have been put through clinical tests and proven to help enhance hair growth.
Hemp Oil
Studies on CBD indicate that hemp oil serves as an inflammation reducer, which helps reduce tension induced by the autoimmune reaction and slows down the pace of hair fall. Therefore, not only does hemp oil promote regrowth, but it also lessens the inflammation and anxiety that kick off hair shedding in the first place.
Additionally, hemp oil acts as an antioxidant, decreasing free radical deterioration. This leads to improved blood circulation and quicker delivery of essential minerals and vitamins to the scalp, boosting overall hair health.
Mung Beans
Vegamour sources its folate, a type of B vitamin, from these mung beans. When you put it on your skin, folate helps keep your red blood cells healthy, promotes cell and tissue production, and can even kickstart hair growth. And the best part? No puffed-up bean belly to worry about.
Oh, and here’s a little secret: Folate is a major player in Folexin, a well-known hair supplement.
Red Clover
Hair thinning can be caused by a hormone called DHT, which is an offshoot repercussion of testosterone. When DHT binds to your hair follicle, it triggers a built-in “sensor” to signal the follicle to dwindle and shield itself. This ongoing cycle saps and depletes the follicle until the hair eventually breaks off.
But here’s where red clover comes in: it functions as a natural blocker against DHT, preventing those hair follicles from going dormant. By doing so, red clover enhances follicle anchoring and fortifies every strand at the root. This is especially great news for folks dealing with male or female pattern hair loss.
Curcumin
Turmeric, along with its main component, curcumin, does wonders for reducing inflammation, boosting the immune system, and promoting hair growth by enhancing blood circulation.
Vegamour serum does contain curcumin, but there is no need to fret—they won’t leave any stains.
Nicotiana Benthamiana
Could cigarette smoke actually aid in hair growth? Well, this plant might just hold the key to stimulating hair growth. Like curcumin, this ingredient bolsters the immune reaction and reduces inflammation.
While I couldn’t find specific clinical hair growth investigations on Nicotiana benthamiana, I did come across research indicating that tobacco leaves can stimulate hair growth and enhance density. Given their close relationship, it’s likely that both plants share similar benefits for hair care.
FAQs
I’ve gathered up all the questions I’ve been asked about Vegamour, covering everything from how to maintain my results to details about the company itself.
Does Vegamour Have Any Side Effects?
As far as I can tell, nope! I didn’t experience any negative side effects from using Vegamour.
However, I did come across some feedback where women mentioned that they noticed even more hair loss after using the product. But it seems like this reaction is pretty rare, so I’d take it with a grain of salt.
Just like with any new beauty product you try out, it’s always a good idea to do a patch test. Just dab a small amount on the inside of your wrist to see if you have any immediate reactions. If you feel any irritation, stop using the product right away.
And, of course, I should mention the usual disclaimer: if you’re not sure whether a product is safe for you, especially if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking any medications, it’s always best to check with your doctor first. This serum is meant to deliver serious results, so it’s a good idea to see how your body reacts before diving in completely.
What Happens When You Stop Using Vegamour?
Unfortunately, this is one of those products where you need to keep up with the subscription if you want to maintain consistent results. While you can’t undo any new hair growth, some customers have noticed that the thickness and overall health of their hair can fade over time. I’ve come across a few reviews where people mentioned that their hair didn’t feel as thick or lush once they stopped using the product and needed to get more. I’ve experienced this myself, too.
It kind of makes sense, though. If you stop using something that’s been making a difference for you, those effects are bound to fade away. But if you’re after some new hair growth, this should still do the trick for you just fine.
Would I Recommend Vegamour To A Friend?
Absolutely! I’d suggest Vegamour to any friends dealing with hair loss. While it’s not an overnight solution, it did show noticeable results for me. If you’re doubtful, give it a shot for at least three months to see if it works for you. And don’t forget to take pictures for comparison!
