[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”23794″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]Our interview with Argentinian actress and entrepreneur Fabiana Pascali who is the creator and designer of underwear line Thinking Panties.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”23791″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]Hi Fabiana please tell us a little about you?
I’m an actor. I’m a designer. I’m a mom. I was born and raised in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, living in Los Angeles for quite a while now. In case you’re wondering, I’m of Italian and Basque descent.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Creative — Honest — Funny.
How did you get started in entertainment?
I started out working in music actually. When I was 19, I joined a pop girl group, called The Warriors. They were famous for their sexy outfits and picaresque lyrics. Tells you what I was like then. <3 To be young you know!
I traveled all Argentina playing all over the country. We had some success, even played on television shows.
When was your first acting role?
I was in a high school play. I played a guy who spent his adult years in a melancholic state. He was preoccupied with what he was not. It was an intense role! In part because I was playing someone of the opposite sex. For clarification, I went to a girls-only catholic school, so the roles of boys would be played by the girls. Funny how that works, when women couldn’t be actors so the roles of women were played by men!
Since these first forays into entertainment, what have you worked on?
There is nothing I enjoy more than being able to enter a viewer’s home and inform, educate, and/or make them laugh. Television is magical! I have worked in telenovelas, a few series, and a plethora of TV commercials. I was the host of several daily shows that aired nationally and internationally.
Best advice ever given?
There’s one lesson I tell my sons — Always choose what you love the most in life. Whatever puts a smile on your face by merely thinking of it. Never worry about how you’ll make the money. If you are truly happy with your profession, the money will make its way to you. It’s a universal law.
Now tell us about your underwear line “Thinking Panties”?
It’s a fun line of gift underwear I created with the idea of letting the gift giver the chance to personalize a pair. Write what you want, draw what you want. Let your inner poet and artist loose. Each panty has a heat pressed thought bubble to write on. You have total control over the message. You can go from funny and innocent, to clever, to racy! Everything we make is cut, designed, and made in Los Angeles. Nothing is from China and we intend to keep it that way!
For every pair bought directly from our site thinkingpanties.com, we donate a blank pair to women and girls in need through local Los Angeles missions, churches, or shelters. Very much like Tom’s Shoes buy 1 give 1.
3 things you can’t leave your house without?
My iPhone, wallet, and sunblock!
What music do you like?
I listen to Italian music most of the time! That also helps me to keep practicing the language. Of course I always have spanish songs in my playlist. My 2 boys keep me update on what’s hip in English.
Your idea of a perfect Sunday is?
Lunch with my family. This is hard to make happen, we’re all so busy. Then if I could laydown to read a book or watch a movie. When night falls, I grab my agenda and plan ahead on the upcoming week.
How do you see yourself in 5 years?
Using more Botox and photoshop for sure – LOL. No no! Joke aside, I see myself always creating something that brings me joy. I want to able to share it with my family and beloved friends. That’s how I measure my successes.
Do you support any charities?
Yes, I do!
• Wounded Warrior Project • St. Jude Children’s Hospital • Food for the Poor • Operation Smile. And as I said earlier, for every pair of Thinking Panties bought online, we donate a blank pair to girls and women in need.
