Hi GRLSKOUT, please tell us about you?
I’m a singer, songwriter, producer & DJ.
When and how did you start DJing?
I started DJing when I graduated high school. I was playing in an electro pop band and my guitar player was a DJ. One day, our band got booked to play a private event at this really cool clothing store and he got booked to DJ the rest of the night. He told me if I wanted to learn how to DJ I had to learn the proper way on vinyl before I started playing on CDJ’s.
What is the best part of life as a DJ?
You get to travel all around the world.

What does it feel like when you are up on stage?
Being on stage is pretty magical. There is nothing like it. Making a crowd dance and go crazy and getting that live reaction from them to your music is honestly the best rush ever.
Which artists and styles inspired and influenced you?
I love Sia! She’s an incredible singer songwriter. I also love Lana Del Rey and think her lyrics are cryptic, deep & absolutely beautiful. Anything Nirvana!! I love Kurt Cobain and think he’s brilliant. What is really inspiring is when an artist is timeless and creates their own sound and not just write songs to fit in with whatever style is currently popular.
What advice do you live by?
Life is pretty extreme and we all have amazing days & not so good days. My mom always told me after thunderstorms there is always sunshine. Its something that has always stuck with me in some of the hardest times and I think by always being positive about any situation even if it’s not easy is super important.
Best stage/party/club you have ever play at?
Coachella Music Loves Fashion Party.
What is the best city that you have traveled to as a tourist/working?
Fashion Week in Paris in the winter time was beautiful and a lot of fun.
What makes you decide to play a particular record during one of your sets?
I love to really read a crowd and make it about them, but I also like to throw in songs from time to time that I adore that no one has ever heard. It always puts a smile on my face when someone comes up to me and tells me how much they love a song or asks me who its by.
What projects are you currently working on and what can we expect from you in 2016?
I am working on a lot of original music and also will be releasing a solo EP.

Three things you can’t live without?
Laptop, toothbrush, my mom
Funniest thing that ever happened at an event?
A lady started doing gymnastics in front of the DJ booth and put her leg up behind her neck for a good 10 seconds. She literally just stood in front of me like that and stared at me. It was funny but awkward.
What advice would you give to up and coming DJs?
To learn first on turntables and really understand how to beat match by ear before going into the digital world.
What music we can find in your iPod?
My iPod is all over the place but you can definitely find a lot of Nirvana, Lana Del Rey, 90’s music, Deephouse and Justin Bieber haha.
Do you support any charity?
I am very passionate about animals & anti-bullying. I also know what its like to have nothing and have to work very hard in life, so I love helping people when they are in need or don’t have much. Putting a smile on someones face or making their day is everything!

Food: I love food a tremendous amount so this is a super hard question. I love Perogies, Sushi, Mac & Cheese and so much more.
Travel destination: This is a hard one cause I have so many magical places I cannot wait to visit! Anywhere in the Middle East, Calabria (Italy), Tropea (Italy), St. Nikola (Montenegro), Shipwreck Island (Greece), Paradise Lake (New Zealand), Moorea (French Polynesia), Fiji, Morocco, and Andalusia (Spain)
