Check out our interview with multi-talented actor, recording artist and model Bo Baskoro who just released a new music video for his latest single “The Lonely Nights.”
Bo, who is of Indonesian heritage, recently relocated from Portland, Oregon to Los Angeles and has signed with The Osbrink Agency for commercial and voiceover representation.

Who influenced you, and why did you choose to make music?
Lanky Kong from Donkey Kong 64 played the trombone and that inspired me to play an instrument. The music from Final Fantasy 7 inspired me to compose music, A really sad moment in “Smallville” had the song “Where I Stood” by Missy Higgins and that influenced my decision to start writing music
Do you play any instruments?
Yes, I started with the trombone, then the piano and guitar. I dabbled in the accordion for a few years too.
Do you ever get nervous?
Literally in everything I do. But I just fake confidence and sometimes it works!
What advice would you give to your younger self, and why?
“Eat the pickled relish” – I’ve been telling myself that for a while because I used to get made fun of for how I ate and at school. Kids made fun of what I would eat and for some reason pickled relish was the biggest one. So I stopped eating it in public because I was so caught up in what people thought of me. Eventually, I started making every decision for other people rather than myself. So now I’m trying to remind myself to do what I enjoy, eat what I enjoy and make decisions for myself.
How would your best friend describe you?
Charming, considerate, engaging, delightful, adventurous, intelligent, frenetic (sometimes), persistent, adaptable… But I literally just had to ask them that. Thank God it was nice, haha.
If you were a book, what would be the title of the book and why?
“Are you serious right now?” – because there have been so many instances in my life that have challenged every decision and direction I’ve chosen to take, and it’s felt like an uphill battle where a new challenger enters the ring.

More releases and I really wanna make trailer music!
What is your favorite healthy food?
Ground turkey chili
And your favorite cheat food?
Oh my gosh, there are so many. I think my current is 4 double meat animal style In-N-Out burgers and a Dairy Queen blizzard with Reeces and M&M’s
How would you explain your fashion style?
Comfortably bold with fandom accessories. Probably like the dad or the supporting character in some anime.
What is your own definition of happiness?
I think having a community of people that love you, support you, know you, and continue to encourage you. I think back to every moment I was the happiest and it usually revolves around the people I had in my life in that period of time.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
I think David Tenant. I’m a huge fan of him as a person and an actor and he just seems like someone with great insight in life and profession. He’s really inspiring for me!
What would be your dream holiday, and who would you go with?
I think something that involves exploration. Like an excursion where we’re trekking through wild territories, fighting our way through rivers, climbing cliffs, or doing some crazy thing like that in order to get to some really pretty view or something. I think I just described “The Amazing Race.” I definitely bring my best friend, who’s always been my travel partner.
Best advice ever given?
Never be cruel; never be cowardly. Remember, hate is always foolish, but love is always wise. Always try to be nice, but never fail to be kind.
Where do you see yourself and your career in 5 years?
Man, that’s tough. I thought I knew the answer to this ten years ago. Now it feels like I can never be certain. But I would love to have relationships in the industries I’m involved in. I’d love to be someone’s go-to for different jobs and someone people can trust. I’d love to see my music on film or TV by then.
What is your favorite song to belt out in the car or for karaoke?
There’s this song called Getaway by VINCINT and Tegan and Sara and it’s so catchy, I’m always belting that one when it comes on.
