Emelina is second generation Italian from her father’s family in Calabria, Italy and she is a first generation college student, graduating from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Pre- Law.

Hi Emelina, please tell us a little about you?
I was born and raised in Las Vegas and I graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Pre-Law and Psychology. I won the title of Miss Nevada USA in 2016 and I went on to compete at Miss USA. After my reign, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in tv/film and modeling.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Cultured, Well- rounded, Genuine.
Name one your strengths?
I am very driven.
Best advice ever given?
You can achieve anything you put your mind to.
Who has been the biggest influence on your life?
My father, because he is a successful self-made entrepreneur and he’s someone I’ve always looked up to.
How and when did you start into modeling?
When I was in college at the University of Arizona I became a calendar girl called Tucson 12. They selected 12 girls to represent the school. After that was when I really wanted to pursue modeling.
Now tell us about your title as Miss Nevada USA? Congrats, that’s amazing!!
Thank you so much! I won the title of Miss Nevada USA 2016 and it was such an incredible year and experience! My platform was advocating for substance abuse and I had the opportunity to work with many amazing charities including Make-A-Wish foundation and the Boys and Girls Club. I feel very honored to have represented my home state at Miss USA where I met so many other wonderful women who are now my lifelong friends.
What’s your advice for the newer models?
Keep going and don’t give up. Always be shooting and updating your portfolio. This helps build your network of photographers and will help with your social media as well. Find an agency that is the best fit for you and your type!
Now tell us about your upcoming film “Blood Pageant?”
My first feature film is set to release in February of 2020. I’m very excited for this to come out and I had a lot of fun working on it. It is a supernatural thriller starring Snoop Dogg, Stephen Baldwin, David Chokachi among many others. I had a principal role in the film where I play a beauty pageant contestant, Isabella, who is vying for the title of Miss American Dream.
What’s next for Emelina Adams in 2019/2020?
I recently got a new team of theatrical agents so I am excited for pilot season and the upcoming opportunities for next year. Recently, I worked on another feature film, called Shadows, where I play the girlfriend of Son’s of Anarchy David Labrava which will also be released in 2020. I’m also working on rebranding my Instagram and the content I put out so I can hopefully start working with more brands.
Which magazine or project is still on your bucket list?
I have ALWAYS wanted to shoot for GUESS, Sports Illustrated and to work on a film directed by Steven Spielberg.
In five years from now, where do you see yourself and your career?
I see myself as a series regular on a TV show either a drama on the CW or a sitcom.
What actor/actress do you admire the most, and why?
I admire Angelina Jolie the most. She is talented, successful and beautiful. She always plays these strong independent bad- ass type of roles and that’s what I want to play.
What is your favorite healthy food?
Avocados! Anything with avocado is my favorite.
And your favorite cheat food?
I’m Italian so definitely, carbs! Like pizza or pasta.
Who is your biggest beauty inspiration?
Adriana Lima has always been my all-time favorite beauty. She is so naturally beautiful and so glamorous at the same time.
What does fashion mean to you?
I love fashion and I love different styles. I am a big girly girl so I dress very feminine but I am not afraid to wear something bold and unique either.
How would you explain your fashion style and what items in your closet can you not be without?
My day to day look is usually jeans a tank and either heels or booties. I like to dress very simplistic but I also love wearing sun dresses in the summer time. I grew up in Las Vegas so I never really wore jeans until I moved to LA because it was so hot so I now have a few good pair of staple jeans that I love wearing.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
My father’s mother, she passed away before I was born and my father is her youngest of 10 children. His parents are from Italy and I’m sure she could teach me a lot of things especially how to cook!
What would be the dream holiday, and who would you go with?
I have traveled to 12 different countries and I studied abroad in Italy. I would really love to go back to Europe and go with my boyfriend.
What do you like to watch on Tv?
I usually watch TV shows way after they come out. I loved Game of Thrones and I’m currently watching Entourage and Shameless.
What music do you like?
I love all types. Rap, rock, 80s rock and growing up in Vegas has really made me like EDM. My favorite kind of music is oldies.
3 things you can’t leave home without?
Chapstick, my essential oil lavender hand sanitizer, and a water bottle.
Idea of a perfect Sunday?
Sleeping in a little bit ( I wake up so early during the week), going to Pilates or a barre class, going for a walk on the beach and cooking at home while watching Netflix.
