Hi Marcela, please tell us a little about you and the obstacles you’ve overcome to make it to this point in your life?
When I first moved to the United States one of the first obstacles was the language barrier because even though I learned English in my country of birth it was very difficult to adapt my ear to the American accent since I learned the British English.
I didn’t know how to drive when I moved to Los Angeles because I came from a city (Buenos Aires) that never sleeps. We have great ways of transportation including taxis, buses, trains and subways and people do not need a car there. I found myself spending three hours in a bus just to get from one place to the other, it was very hard time since we did not have GPS on our smart phones.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Relentless, fearless, passionate.
Who is your role model & why?
I do not have a specific role model but my mother and father played a great role in my life.
How did you get started into acting?
My first job in the United States was as movie extra for a big production in Hollywood, when I saw my first paycheck I said well let’s just give it a try since I didn’t have any experience on acting because my degree is on broadcasting on the radio and journalism.
How has this changed your life?
It changed my life completely because I’ve never imagined that I was gonna end up working in Hollywood, like a fantasy came true.
What is the best and worst part of being an actress?
The best of being an actress or a reality personality is that you meet a lot of people and human interaction is one of the things I enjoy the most. The worst part is that sometimes jobs are not consistent and you have to take breaks even though you don’t want to.
Tell us about your work in Estrella TV’s hit Spanish reality series “Rica, Famosa, Latina?
Rica Famosa Latina is the Spanish version of The Real Housewives franchise on Estrella Media, it was a great experience because I have never worked in the Latino market before, so I met a lot of people and I connected with my Latino audience.
How did you get brought onto Truly Channel’s “My Extraordinary Family?”
In 2015 I created the first human dollhouse called ‘Plastics of Hollywood’ so the company that runs the show “future entertainment” contacted me and we filmed many shows with them like, “Hooked on the Look,” “Bling life,” and “My Extraordinary Family.” I filmed from different countries around the world including Germany, Japan, Norway, France, Sweden, Italy, Mexico and Argentina. ‘Plastics of Hollywood’ became the revolution of plastic surgery in a positive way.
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
The most rewarding part of my work is meeting people from the all over the world.
What kind of roles do you like or would like to play and why?
Now I would love to play a villain in a superhero movie or an acting job that requires a lot of skills, like stunts.
How do you balance your busy work life with your personal life?
I learned to manage my time very wisely, I do not waste time on things that do not make a positive impact on my life, I have rejected to go to a lot of places that I get invited because at the end of the day I don’t get anything in return and I don’t really care about having a picture on the red carpet anymore. Been there done that.
You are followed by so many people. How do you feel about that pressure of doing always the right thing, and encourage people to follow their dreams?
I never encourage anybody to do the right thing, I encourage people to do whatever feels good for them and my motto is “be the best version of yourself” I truly don’t care about what people think about me. At this point of my life I only do whatever makes me feel good.
What mindsets helped making you so successful?
I always believed in myself, I never take no for an answer if I really want something. I just keep doing me & I follow my gut.

What do you think of Social Media?
Social media is an outlet where the public can connect with you at the touch of a button. If you know who you really are and what you want to expose about your public life, there should be no regrets. If you are in fear about what others think about you maybe social media is not for you… before posting anything you should think twice. I think that social media should be regulated for older people rather than teenagers.
