[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”25499″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]Carolina Levi is an Argentinian actress that we have seen in many projects in TV and Film. We have seen her as well on the Electrick Jukebox commercial with Robbie Williams, on the Argentinian movie “My love or my Passion” with Adrian Suar and Julieta Diaz directed by Marcos Carnevale, and many others. On the big screen, we will see her next proposing to actor Jaime Camil (Jane the Virgin) on the feature film “Madness on the Method”, and in a new film that she is currently shooting with one of the biggest Hollywood directors. But she can’t talk about it because of an NDA contract. Carolina is the lead actress on the Pantene Rosa commercial to prevent breast cancer, that won 3 Lions in Cannes.
She started acting in short films and plays and later on she had the opportunity of working on a TV show and doing features films. Carolina has worked with some of the most recognized international brands as Apple, Cadillac, Pantene, Head & Shoulders, Gillette, Sprite, Chevrolet, Budweiser, Johnson & Johnson, and Dove, between others.
Then, she finally moved to Los Angeles, where she studied at Second City and with the well-known acting coach Lesly Kahn (who is working currently with). Carolina has worked non-stop in Los Angeles in numerous movies, TV shows, commercials and even stand-up comedy.
Carolina is doing as well her first sculpture and is very passionate about fashion and photography, world that she belongs to as well (you can see it on her Instagram/social media @lacarolinalevi)[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”25498″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]What’s the difference between working as an actress in Argentina or in the U.S.?
The difference is huge! It’s like 2 different worlds because of the languages, cultures and the sizes of the industries.
Argentina is a smaller industry, everyone knows each other. For me to work in my country in my language is priceless. I love being at home.
LA is huge with people who come from all over the world. There are many opportunities but it’s super competitive. To get the chance to be in a room is already a big thing. There is a lot of talent in both countries but here is the 1st league. You can feel and see that. In LA good = unemployed, you have to work harder to be the best of the best, and you have to create your own opportunities. In LA you can grow and develop your craft as an artist learning from the best people in the industry; there is a lot to explore. Now I am doing stand-up, where I have a lot of fun.
Which is more important—training or talent?
I think is a combination of both. An actor is like a musician, never stops training and learning, our instrument is our body, so we have to have it in shape so when the opportunity comes, it meets the talent.
Who or what is your inspiration?
I feel inspired watching art films and TV shows, as well as observing people’s behavior, going to stand up shows, contemporary art museums, traveling, and getting to know different cultures.
I also feel very inspired by all the talented artists who love what they do, believe in themselves, work hard and fight for their dreams.
Regarding a person, I would say Ricardo Darin is definitely an inspiration, as an artist and human being.
What do you feel most proud of?
I feel proud of the Pantene “Rosa Life Care” commercial I did because is a campaign to prevent breast cancer, and for me to get the chance to help women all over the world to prevent it, is what makes me the proudest.
How is Jaime Camil in person?
He is funny and charming, we had so much fun in set, we laugh a lot, he is super nice.
What teacher in school made the most impact on you and why?
Many of them, everyone on their own way, but probably the most impact was one acting coach that made me get in charge of my life and do what I wanted, that was to move to LA. He said that if I wanted to do it I had to do it doesn’t matter what; It’s never going to be a perfect situation and there will always be something to figure out, so I did it.
Do you prefer to work in film, TV or commercials and why?
I love film the most, but now I would like to do more TV as well.
What is the next step in your career?
I am working on a few projects between TV and film. I would like to direct in the future but I still have a lot to do before that, so step by step.
