Intelligent, outgoing, creative
Name one of your strengths?
I find it easy to read people, to know how to approach them and listen to who they are. I do so many interviews and my natural ability to understand someone’s personality is key in creating a good relationship.
How’s a typical day in your life?
My day usually begins with a kiss from my dog and then we hit the kitchen for a little bite to eat. Next, I try to get a short hike in near my home. I’ve been thinking of taking up tennis again and this would replace my hike. From then I’m in my office to work on the magazine ArtQuenchMagazine.com and check on upcoming projects. My schedule is full most of the time between writing and interviewing. I have my hands in many things. I produce and attend social events. I’m also an artist and do my very best to set aside time to paint. My work is shown in Galleries and I have been exhibiting more and more these days.
TheArtOfStacia.com In the evening if I am not attending an event I will workout a little more and then enjoy a lite dinner with my family. I love to put on my super soft PJ’s , watch a bit of news to keep up and a favorite show. I’m a fan of Master Chef and the housewives I have to say.
Who is your biggest supporter?
I believe there are many. I feel those who have followed me along my journey and always send inspirational and motivational messages are my biggest supporters. Of course my family included.
How did you get started in the industry?
When I was about 21 I was approached by a casting director, they were looking for background actors for the T.V show Beverly Hills 90210. From there I just took one step at a time and began to learn how it all worked.
What was your first acting role?
My first acting role was in a school production. I was cast in a role playing a detective named Zoe in “Big Boom at Castle Zoom”. I felt very comfortable playing that role but I also remember the butterflies on opening night. I also remember wanting to learn the lighting and back stage production.
Do you have or had acting/hosting/writing classes?
Nothing professional. I actually picked up many things from watching other actors over the years. I was asked to teach commercial workshops after auditioning for a role. I taught for about a year.
What is the best and worst part of being in this business?
The best part is I am always creating and this is the passion that lives inside of me. I am a creator, whether it be in writing, cooking or hosting I’m my best self when I am creating.
The worst part is having a great idea but it’s late at night and I must sleep in order to function so I have to wait to get started, Ha!
Best advice ever given?
Before my Mother died when I was a young girl she said “Even when it’s hard Never Ever give up on your dreams”
Now tell us about your work as a producer and host of the hit You Tube cooking show Cooking it Up?
I am having so much fun with this show. I am really creating something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. I’m just getting started and I already have my Idol Chef following me on twitter @ArtQuench…..Mr. Gordon Ramsay. I guess I must be doing something right. The show is about quick and easy recipes for the average person to put together and I let it all happen naturally. If there’s a wind storm while we are in the back yard we keep going and have a good laugh at it. My goal is to entertain the audience as I share creative dishes anyone can make. I look forward to seeing how far we go with the show. I have a really good feeling. “Cooking it Up with Host Stacia Gates” on youtube!

What is next for Stacia Gates in 2019?

Who is your favorite Actor/Actress? And why?
Diane Keaton because she is so versatile but she keeps her charming funny self in every role she plays. I love her!
What music do you like?
When I paint it’s mostly the New Age channel, when I’m with good friends chilling with a beer it’s 70’s and in the car it’s all over the place.
Your idea of a perfect Sunday is?
OK now we are talking….Sunday, if I could have a perfect Sunday it goes like this;
Sleep in until 9:00
Make B.L.T.’s on Sourdough toast!
Watch old black and white movies on AMC
Late afternoon work on a painting
Early evening jacuzzi time
Dinner make homemade shells and chips after smelling the roast in the crock all day for shredded beef tacos. Oh and let’s not forget the homemade guacamole!
These days don’t come too often but when they do they go exactly like I described.
Something people don’t know about you?
I’m a chipoholic! It’s true! I keep at least 20 bags of different types of potato chips in a large basket in the cupboard. Everything from 3 kinds of BBQ to 3 kinds of hot fries, jalapeño, plain kettle, cheese puffs, the list goes on. I don’t ever eat a whole bag but I eat at least a hand full of chips everyday. I wonder if there are more of us out there???
What is your own definition of happiness?
If I have complete peace in my heart then this is happiness to me. This means my family is healthy and good in life and I can sleep well at night.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Gordon Ramsay because I would want the very best advice about my career in cooking.

Master Chef is my favorite modern day show but I love the old school Columbo.
What is your favorite healthy food?
